Not a specific manga, there should be some sort clichés (ie nice guy with shady past, long lost brother, earth in danger) but it shoudn't feel like a complete repeat of a fairy tale/older story. There should be a few new elements introduced to give an impression of...freshness? to the plot.

NO UBER-HEAVY ROMANCE

It's kinda hard to explain...like what code geass was to the gundam series or vampire knight was to the vampire romance/siblings genre. (I know I'm being really generalistic there)

As for art, it shouldn't be too moé (no big watery eyes, at least 5 heads to body ratio, preferably 7+) but not too gritty. Preferably backgrounds and art are elaborately detailed, but that's not a prerequisite.

The list sounds like of long, but it's rather vague, just no uber-heavy romance.
