You know how a lot of series have these big battles and a character is gravely wounded, or they're doing some sort of spell that takes a really long time to cast. Whenever this to happen, it seems like someone hit the pause button on the world because these 1-3 characters seem to always have enough time to read their acceptance speech, the complete collection of Encyclopedia Britannica, and then some. And this is in the middle of a battle!

What villain in their right mind would allow this?

What really bothers me is after that skill hits u see lots of blood and the part where it hits is holed up or SLASHED and the next chapter its a minor burn/cut... Bleach did that a lot and 2 chapters or so ago naturo/sasuke made a hole into obito and the next chapter They just went past him without hurting him just getting his chacra struck to them 😛 /
