I think that Akatsuki is enough. But isn't Akatsuki already trying to conquer and rule the world? I remember reading something that they are trying to control all of the war in the world, and therefore the world a while back.

y agree in Akatsuki´s arc being the last or before-last arc in naruto. Apart of Akatsuki there is the Kabuto infused with Orochi´s cells, but that is not much compared to Pain and Madara.

Aside from Akatsuki and Kabuto/Oro, there's the entire thing with Danzou, Sai and root ANBU. Maybe an ANBU war in Konoha? Naruto's gotta become hokage somehow and resolving a civil war can be a good way to get him the position.

i don't mind naruto being a prequel to something else (but not like digimon = =😉 but just don't drag it THAT long... or maybe the author can make prequel, for some1 like kakashi's dad, and with more uchiha members... if it drags on too long... it's gunan fail like DB GT... where it just became kinda stupid.

we all know naruto has years left before it ends. I mean kishi releases about 48 chapters in a year. and each fight takes about 2-20 chapters depending on who's fighting against who. then thier's the side stories and plot to get through. but we're just voicing out the fact that naruto seems to be coming to a close.

I don't think the akatsuki arc would be the last arc for naruto. There are still so many things that kishimoto may cover, like danzou and root, the other ninja countries, and kabuto. The only problem is that pain and madara seem so strong that building another antagonist that's stronger would make it seem like dragonball, wherein everybody thought that freeza was the strongest in the galaxy then suddenly here comes cell and majin buu, etc.. (but i still loved dragonball up to the very end though, who doesn't). Well, whatever happens, wether the mangaka drags on the story of naruto or not, id still continue reading it.

Well we FINALLY have a defined ultimate villain now, so I think the story should actually start to progress towards an ending, even if it takes a couple hundred chapters to get there.

That might happen later, once Akatsuki's captured all of them. Or, if Aktsuki keeps getting beat and they're down to a couple members, they might try to release them in a last effort to wipe out Konoha.

We've already seen Gaara and Naruto. And it's still 1 left (or 2). Kishi (and basically all authors) don't like to repeat themselves plot vise. It would be kinda cool to see a Jinchuuriki as a clan badass leader or something though. 😀 😎
