Well i dont really know if it is ending yet but i hope it will end with both Naruto and Sasuke dieing.If not i kinda see it ending with like Naruto dieing like Jiraiya becuse i kina relate Naruto to Jiraiya.For example, they both never got the one they loved(but it is not yet proven), they both couldn't stop the one who is most important to them and they are both stupid.Even Jiraiya said that hes stupid and has no talent 😎

i do hope that you notice that the legendary sannin are now represented by naruto (jiraiya), sakura (tsunade), and sasuke (orochimaru).

I'm thinking this exposition could last 2-5 volumes, then another volume or 3 to resolve Sasuke's leaving and akatsuki and all the kids running around. Then I figure kishi's gonna start part III (yes I expect a part 3-hard not to with all the 3's symbolism)-which should be Naruto focused and all about his road to becoming the Hokage and also could have great sub arcs about all the warring states and bringing peace-this would be where the meat of the prophecy Jiraya was talking about could show up, plus the resolution of being the nine tails.

(Oh, and the romance-it's been there/been built up, but the current arcs don't seem promising for a resolution of any sort)

Once Kishi answers all the questions that he could possibly answer, than that's it. there's no more questions that he could have possibly created. and, the questions are all rooted towards something in the beginning of the story, aka. naruto's parentage, sasuke's past, kakashi's mask, etc.

While I totally agree with you that Naruto is structured completely differently from DBZ, Kishi could still play in the world when he finishes Naruto's story. The parent's of many of the main characters have great stories-he could totally weave an whole epic around any of them-hell he could just write a whole series about the Sannin. Then there's sequels-but this is more likely to go the DBZ generic fights route, and Kishi seems to like structure and symbolism too much for that.

He could draw a bunch of side stories then, but the main story must end soon. Now I want to think that he had all of this plotted out from the moment he began, maybe just not as drawn out - since when is something this well crafted and tied up made up on the spot? Anyways, I have no idea what's going to happen. I suppose a "wait and read" approach for everyone might go along the best.

Ok, maybe romance was the wrong word-puppy love/crushes/infatuation/whatever. Kishie introduced his main square (Hinata->Naruto-Sakura->Sasuke) it at the very beginning and has managed to throw it into enough arcs to keep it as a decent subthread, enough that he's either gotta resolve it or fade it into oblivion (which is a sort of resolution-kind of). Maybe the square has faded enough that yeah, it could probably drop all together-be a part of first arc character development-but dunno, 'cause Kishie has carried it over into the second part, where it no longer seems to contribute much to development.

I'll agree that anything more in the 'verse won't be part of the main story, but I really don't see the main story ending soon-there's just way too much going on that needs to be resolved.
