I get annoyed when a guy just accepts it so quickly and wants to continue to be friends after the girl brutally rejects him. Are there any stories where the male lead and female lead are friends, he confesses and she doesn't like him at that point so she rejects him. Maybe she likes another guy at that point. Eventually she realizes her feelings for the guy and tries to repair things and they get together.

I've only seen the anime, but Masamune-kun no Revenge is kind of based around this whole idea.

BTW, didn't care for the anime adaptation, and I can't say whether it's any better in the manga.
