I use IE, but only because its already available on the computer and I'm used to it. My dial-up connection is AOL and it has its own little browser which I despise. I don't really know what widgets and rss feeds and that sort of thing are, and probably can't utilize it fully on crappy dial-up!!

Whoa when this thread was at two pages I was the only one who voted for opera. Now it's beating IE. I converted 3 people (maybe) and mellowmut. That makes five. Still can't compare to the firefox junkies though. Oh well. IE still commands more than 60 percent of the market share so Opera can keep trying to steal those guys cause firefox fans semm a bit diehard. And they are so grateful to firefox for saving them from IE that they are followers for life. Haha just kidding. 😁
By the way did I mention I just accedentally discovered that Opera has IRC built in. I kid you not friends. I clicked on the IRC link on the KMTS page and I thought it would open up in MIRC like IE does and it opened a window asking me for name email and nick and poof I was chatting in KMTS' channel. I shit you not it was that simple.

Opera all the way....
Opera has a e-mail client with rss feed reader tabbed browsing download manager and tabbed sessions
The built in irc client works okay but when you start inputting commands like !list and such you'll be seeing tabs to high heaven
i havent tried out its bittorrent client either but needless to say this browser has everything and its fan base is steadly growing
I've convinced 2 ppl over to opera one of which was a firefox fan too

It is remarkably simple. Only problem is it causes you to have a lot of tabs rather than windows like in mirc. and if you leeching off the bots they send you a reply and all you do is click the file name and the download starts like a regular http download. Same thing for torrents click on a torrent link and it start's downloading right away in the browser. And the downloads are fast. Whoa Dp1662 you're a fan like me too it has only been three days and i'm sure it has saved me loads of hassle. Oh and I guess you could change your settings to disable tabs taking care of that problem but I kinda like the tabs. All I have to say after evaluating Opera is Wow. Download it and try it you won't regret it. Geez I do sound like the head of marketing but it is one great free product.
Oh and you won't miss your extensions much widgets do just about everything and they are may easier on the eyes.

started with ie for the most part. tried mozilla and liked it better cuz of tabs/new windows with a simple wheel click and incorporated email browser. switched over to firefox cuz it was basically a better mozilla with new and more features. im still using fox and now with the incorporated bookmark tool bar and searcher plus the cookie management system and add-ons it will be hard for me to find a better browser.

I use Mozilla Firefox all the time. I love using the tabs and Mozilla is easy to use. After I updated IE I found out IE had tabs too but for some reason I just couldn't get used to using IE.
For me, Mozilla is faster too. And I like how it also has it's own pop-up blocker and how it's options are easier to use. The one thing bad about Mozilla though is that sometimes you want to see a website, but it only works for IE and if you try to use Mozilla for it, it looks all messed up.

I'm using Firefox almost all the time. In some rare cases where FF is incompatible with the site I use the IEtab-plugin to Firefox.
Firefox is nice with tabs and great extension - e.g. Adblock, download statusbar, foxmarks and VideoDownloader.
I also tried IE7 when it was released, and even if I don't have anything against it in particular, I still use Firefox when I have a choice.

Probably means what he said, IE Tab, it basically opens IE within Firefox.
