Feture requests

I've moved from MAL to keep track of my mangas to BUM, mainly because it updates you when there's a new chapter of a series after the popular manga online viewers stopped hosting copyrighted material. I've since realised there was no manga hosts that hosted all of the scanlations, and I Google my manga titles when I'm notified of a new chapter. Since I'm actively reading ~200 titles, BUM has really helped me.
However, great as it is, I still see potential for improvements, mainly at these points. There's also a sister site for anime, I'm aware, and similar improvements there would also be more than welcome.
- All manga titles with unread chapters be displayed at the top.
- Total number of published chapters, released scanlations be mentioned, Bold or a different coloured manga titles to notify of unread manga chapter.
- A separate hidden column for omakes and special chapters, shown when user wants to see or there's a new chapter in this category.
I don't know how the actual page for submitting a manga chapter update looks like, however I'd like to see these options.
- The list of chapters be ordered according to however the user wishes, e.g sorted by chapter, sorted by release dates, etc.
- The blog post or the webpage where the chapter release was announced be linked to at the manga chapters beside the scanlator's page link. This will really help readers if the chapter is not hosted on any online readers or if they're looking for a chapter released long back.
- Similarly on scanlation group's page, the announcement link should be mentioned alongside manga chapters.
I believe the above points will really be convenient for the users. I sincerely hope there is a positive response to my requests.
Oh and, this is just my personal opinion, but the default theme (I'm not aware if the looks are customisable) of BU and BUM looks really dead, and the fix width doesn't go well with all the widescreen monitors out there. So please consider changing the themes as well. 😀

Just for reference, here's a link to the "add release" form: http://www.mangaupdates.com/submit.html?act=add_release

This is already possible. If you go to the "my lists" page in the left column and view your reading list, go to the bottom. You can choose how you want to sort what you are reading using the radio buttons.

Once you do this and click update, there will be red numbers after the chapter title to indicate releases that you have not read. If there is no number then you are up to date on the releases.

Why not?
They were removed for a reason. Yes, we used to have it.

What was the reason, if I may ask?

Ouch. That's sadly understandable.
With you admins here, I'd like to know what you think of those other points.

I'd like to see two more columns added to the search feature.
When you search for something, you get a list of manga with their title, genre, year, and rating. I think another column for total number of releases for that series and another one for the the date of the most recent update.
That way we can sort by most recent updates or total number of releases.
