Persona 4 Manga to End in 11th Volume
The wraparound jacket band on the 10th compiled book volume of Shuji Sogabe's Persona 4 manga adaptation announced on Monday that the manga's 11th volume will be its last.
North American publisher Udon Entertainment announced in June that it had licensed the manga. Udon describes the manga's story:
When the small rural town of Inaba suddenly becomes the scene of a series of grisly murders, an eclectic group of high school students forms an investigation team to uncover the truth behind them and prevent more deaths. But when they discover that the murders might be connected to an urban legend about a paranormal television phenomenon called the “Midnight Channel,” a simple investigation turns into a dangerous, action-packed journey of self-discovery across two different worlds. Along the way, dark truths will shake our heroes to their very core – and help them discover an inner strength they never knew they had!
Sogabe launched the manga in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Black Maoh magazine in 2008, the same year that the game debuted. Udon Entertainment will ship the first bimonthly volume of the manga in September. Sogabe also draws the Persona 3 game's manga adaptation, which is being teased as ending soon.
