Just finished the first book in the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks yesterday and started on the second one this morning. Before that I finished Eon and Eona by Alison Goodman. Both are very good books.

I've been on a huge John Keats binge. When a poet catches my attention I want to read their biography, memorize their poems and soak myself for hours in their words. I've just read "The Eve of Saint Agnes" and just realized that it could be fun to compare it to "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" and now I really wish I could just languish for days next to the sound of a nightingale's call. When I read his poetry I feel like I am constantly opening doors to myself that I had ignored previously. Over dramatic? Yes. Kind of creepy? Probably. Do I care enough to stop recitating his poetry when people even mention the word romantic? Not in the least 😀

Before Keats, I bought a book of Pablo Neruda's poems in a new translation which I enjoyed immensely. I always feel like I have to take each word of his and lightly brush it over my palm as if I were marveling at the way it breathed on my skin-I've been reading poetry so much this past year and especially his that I feel like I am carrying on a secret love affair through a memory's senses. Before Pablo Neruda, I drowned myself in Sylvia Plath-her poetry pulls me into such a dim world that I can only see anything through a microscope, and even then I have this vague feeling that my reality is distorted by the churn of a kaleidoscopic :/ but I love it! I bought Ariel and it took me a while to read all the poems because each word seemed to slow life down. I keep all these books of poetry by my bed and it's sometimes how I send myself off to sleep. Oh goodness, I'm almost emotionally drained, by people who have long since died. I need to read something happy. Antoine de Saint-Exupery is good, though I've read most of his-gah! I'm going back to Hyperion now

Finished Hunger Games trilogy a few months ago, and it was superb. My only main problem were that some of my favorite characters died. Still, it was well-written and exciting.

At the moment, I've been trying to read through Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire #3), but it just doesn't capture my interest for long. I think I'm beginning to hate the series, personally.

I actually read a book recently, although it was inspired by manga lol. Vagabond is currently on hiatus, so to get the whole story i read the 1,000+ page book Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa. For an 80 year old book on a 500 year old topic it was surprisingly good.

Lol, last night, and the night before that and the night before that.. and you know the rest. I read pretty much every day.

Last night I was reading a swedish book called "En riktig våldtäktsman" - a real rapist. The author has done interviews about real rapist to try and understand who they are and how they perceive themselves.

Tonight I am going to re-read "Hanteringen av Odöda" - handling the undead. The novel is written by John Ajvide Lindqvist. He also wrote "Let the right one in". "Hanteringen av Odöda" is about the dead coming back to life and how a "normal" person would react when facing their loved ones again.

Both books are really interesting and I would recommend them, if it is available in engligh or any other language.

I started reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" last night. I'm curious to see what all the hype is about.
I'm waiting for my order of "The Painted Man" to come through too.

I'm taking a 5 minute brain-resting break from A Game of Thrones right now.

I've always wanted to get into the Song of Fire and Ice series, but never really bought the books until now.... The boxed set of the first four books was on sale for a nice price, so I nabbed them a few days ago and they arrived at my house today!

It is a very interesting book so far. It demands to be read at its own pace though, so I'm giving it time.

(If this post is really long it is because while Uni. courses are going on I can't read, and I'm not used to reading less than 2-6 books a week. So the last semester, up until this winter break, has been a bit unbearable: aka, I'm very happy to be reading stuff)

Just a few days ago I saw "The Prince" on display in the library between classes, and I just sort of got sucked into it. Really great read, though I unfortunately can't put a lot of his historical references into context. Gonna try and look for a copy of his stuff about republics next. People hype about Machiavelli being really cruel and immoral or whatever, but I'm guessing they don't read his stuff much.

I'm rereading Alias Grace at the moment, I forgot how truly brilliant it is... Ah, after reading so much crappy fiction, Margaret Atwood is like a breath of fresh air

Book as in physical object? I read a novella online for three days straight if that counts....it's still a read in progress but overall I like it. Not usually into vampires but this romance caught my interest. IT'S NOT TWILIGHT shudders

Just a few hours ago. I started Kafka on the Shore.

I read books mainly everyday if possible but it tends to be I either read a book or a manga. At the moment i am reading the mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson as i am taking a break from the song of fire and ice.

Also AliceinAmestris it is nice to hear from someone else who has read the books as it is my favorite series hop you enjoy the final two. Also be sure to give brent weeks latest book a try, he is a fantastic author.
