just hours ago. im currently reading Lost and Found by Allan Dean Foster my first actual scifi book aside from star wars. also reading The Lost Diary of Don Juan, doesnt help relieve my dymenorrhea... and if its in god's will probably finish reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks, im just reading that because theres an upcoming movie with Zefron in it... romance without adventure or historical or anything relatable is just not my stuff.

Maybe five days ago? I'm stuck on page 928/1069 of Atlas Shrugged, right at the beginning of a forty page rant about Objectivism. The thought of reading it makes me want to hit my head against the wall until I bleed. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this book except to those who're determined to plough through all the cult classics.

Finished reading Tobias Elsasser's (no German fonts, sorry) "Fur Niemand" today. No matter how much I'd want to read "serious" books in German, teen stories are about as much as my language skills allow.
In the meantime I'm reading "East of Eden" by Steinbeck. Started about two weeks ago.
And after I'm done with it there is a bonus - a movie adaptation with James Dean.

If I had to sum it up - during the academic year I rarely read anything (physics journals probably don't count), but during holidays I read one book after another. Funny thing - with manga it's otherwise, during holidays I read almost none.

I finished reading "Jurassic Park" by Crichton last week. Great novel, far better than the movie, and I love the movie. Highly recommended.

I still need to read this one, and The Grapes of Wrath as well. I've avoided Steinbeck ever since reading Of Mice and Men in elementary school - absolutely hated it and that tarnished my opinion of his writing as a whole.

I love Jurassic Park! And many of his other books, though State of Fear was absolute drivel IMO.

Twins Trilogy by Agota Kristof.
What a mind fuck.

I read the first book several years ago and loved it,
then last week I found the complete trilogy and obviously had to read the whole thing.
Couldn't put it down.

Today - actually I read a book pretty much every day, sitting with my son while he falls asleep at bedtime. Right now I'm reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. It's good, but LONG; hope I can finish it before it's due back at the library. 😐

A few weeks ago for school. I read The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston. It was actually pretty good, considering that I rarely give a shit about books for school 🤣
