Tolerance

Here are a lot of topics about objects and processes of potential discrimination and I've watched south park episode concerning the subject the other day and here it is: what do you think about the attitude itself? Is it right or wrong?
I'll state my point a bit later.
(I guess creating a poll is pointless.)

Tolerance is a terrible goal... Why would you advocate tolerating something instead of accepting it?
That said, it's a good thing to encourage when acceptance is an impossibility for segments of the population.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...
Most of the things to ever happen
are completely indifferent. Be indifferent
towards things that really don't revolve
around you at all. Intolerance is bad for
both sides. Only makes life difficult.
At least for those that care for stuff like
morals.
Actually, personally, I don't give a fuck.
I'll just do my thing. That which is not part
of it doesn't need to be made part of it
as it is not needed.

Hmm. I have one case in mind that is related to this, but I won't say it. I think that accepting differences would be great, tolerance would be great, however there is a line you have to draw. Some things should not be tolerated--even if people say it is a part of there religion/culture/upbringing/etc. For example, wife-beating, or degradation of women.(or men if it ever happens nowadays) Integration isn't always a bad thing hahaha. But whatever. Just my opinion~ In the end I think indifference or acceptance/tolerance, would probably be a good route for most things.
