Hollywood actors, no. US Politicians, yes.
Hmm... well in my home country I know a lot of celebrities because my cousin is a photographer and he photographs them. He introduced them to me when I went to his house one time and there was a photo-shoot. We don't talk that much but if we see each other, we know each others' faces.

Oh and I met Lionel Richie (sp?) inside an elevator in an airport in LA.

Mostly Politicians... a couple made it to president... not like they made me any richer... but is good to know them before wasting my vote in them... My dad is a politician strategist and he has run a couple of campaigns... nothing to brag, because after all, a third world country president is pretty unimportant...

I have met a few singers, athletes... because of the world of politics and more than a few Local TV famous people... but everything is like, Hey **** this is one of my sons...

I am a little into politics, but my dad told me I wasn't ready for that world yet...

Nope. The closest I've ever been to someone famous was as part of an audience.

dunno if this realli counts or not but my uncles and their dad were the Vietnamese representatives and trainers of Vietnam's judo team in the olympics and sea games. but for some kinda real celebrity i was in bangkok just last december and my friend point out this dude to me who was flocked by all these girls taking photos with him and getting autographs, evidently he was some big time talk show host and does all sorts of things. i was browsin so i didnt pay it any heed till my friend pointed it out besides the fact that i accidentally bumped into the guy before the crowds swarmed when i was lookin at stuff

Either the people everybody has named are not famous enough, because I have no clue who the half of them was, or I am rather indifferent about those celebrities since I only remember the remarkable people that I rather like or attract a lot of attention.

As for the my answer, does concerts count? If they do then I have seen loads of musicians performing live. Other than that I as some people have said before, I too wouldn't really notice if someone famous came passing by unless they're really really well-known or unless I like their performances. Fame may be a good thing but nobody wants to be stared at just by going out buying a cigarette or for a drink.
