i own a ps3, wii, 360, and a decent gaming pc, and just wanted to list why i think the ps3 is better than its biggest competitor the 360.

360 +'s
1. xbox live has a bigger online community, came out a year earlier so theres a bigger userbase for the 360
2. xbox live is faster when it comes to downloading demos and such
3. controller design is probably more ideal for first person shooter games than the ps3's dualshock 3, (games like devil may cry 4 feel best suited for the ps3s controller tho)
4. dead or alive 4, and ninja gaiden 2 r 360 exclusives, and probably wont be moving to for awhile.
5.the 360 has ingame xmb, the ps3 also has this feature coming out, but sony has yet to create the update despite the demand from gamers.
6. at the moment, the 360 arguably has the better library of games available. gears of war 2 is comign out for the 360 (though itll get ported to the PC eventually), and currently lost odyssey, and blue dragon, r only for the 360
7. has the hddvd add-on, even though hddvds arent being made anymore due to its loss to the blu-ray disc, u could play hddvds on the ugly add-on through the 360 lol



PS3 +'s
1. has blu-ray, hddvd lost the format war and that 150$ 360 add-on is now useless
2. has bluetooth, take any cellphone bluetooth headset and use it with ur ps3
3. has wifi, u need to drop another $100 for the wifi add-on for the 360
4. easy to install linux on the ps3, some guy spend weeks hacking his 360 to install linux...
5. ps3 comes with a wireless rechargeable controller, and dualshock 3s run 50$, 360s wireless controller is 50$, and a rechargeable kit is another $20,
6. ps3 has motion sensing technology, 360 has no such feature
7. u can easily stick any laptop harddrive in the ps3, a 20gb 360 microsoft harddrive runs for about 80$
8. ps3s blu-ray discs hold 50gbs, 360 is still using dual layer dvds at 9gbs
9. ps3s online play is FREE, its like $50 bucks a year for 360 online play
10. the ps3 can play divx, xvid, and h264 encoded files, stick all ur anime episodes on ur ps3 via usb!
11. the ps3 has more stable hardware,*cough cough* red rings of death
12. the ps3 runs cooler and quiter the the 360
13. every ps3 is equipped with HDMI, only the new 360s have an HDMI port and im not about to buy another 360 to get one....
14. ps3 has the eyetoy #2
15. the ps3 can connect to the psp, and the psp can even control and play games off the ps3 via wifi or internet
16. in terms of processor and graphical power, the ps3 is TECHNICALLY more powerful than the 360 in both aspects, no bias on that one
17. ps3 supports user mods for games, u cannot download mods (mods r not add-ons...) for the 360, microsoft has it locked
18. the ps2 kicked the gamecube and the xbox's ass in the last console war, and guess which console has ps1 and ps2 backwards compatibility...
19. the ps3 has the better EXCLUSIVES. a lot of 360 titles are also for the PC, gears of war... bioshock... mass effect is coming to the PC... and now a lot of 360 and PC titles r coming to the ps3 with add-ons (eternal sonata, overlord...) you will not see metal gear solid 4, tekken 6, or final fantasy 13 on the PC or 360
20. halo 3 is a good game, buts its OVERRATED lol. the ps3 still has 3 high production-value exclusive FPS's coming out

i only have a ps3 but i feel the 360 got stronger fanbase - who's willing to buy those extra add-ons - higher consistancy and availability of games since its easier to develop for it it, and overall it has momentum since the ps3 didnt see such a good starting year.

I own all three.

They are all great systems, the thing is the ps3 lacks blockbuster games atm. 360 is hording them all in right now and attracting the audience. Ps3 started with some much negativity that people don't hear anything about it.

Ps3 itself is on a great start.

But bashing other systems is not the thing to do....

360 = Ps3 = Wii

Ps3 to the fanboy wise, has done things that are reasonably stupid. For instance using a 360 video game to advertise a sony game? They lied about rumble not being usable? (just didn't want to admit that they were sued about rumble) Also the fact that Sony just can't seem to stabilize whats going on.

Changing the system specs, and such just to meet requirements gets a little feisty. I feel sorry for the people who don't have the emotion chip on the ps3 to play all the ps2 games, fortunately I do. This angered a few people who loved the ps2 but not can't play the games they wanted to on the ps3.

Also your facts need to get straight, 360 has better graphical power than the ps3. The ps3 just has better processor power. The ps3 has waaaaaaay more jagged lines than the 360 has, and the 360 holds power in the graphics. Ps3 holds power in loading times since all the games out now implement installing onto the Hard drive for fast loads.

The 360 also plays more videos than the ps3 btw, 360 also takes better advantage of accessing your computer. Ps3 can also, just not in a more interactive way. 360 plays more videos than the Ps3 can, I know this because I recently downloaded Iron Man and Superbad, all of which froze on my ps3, but playable on the 360. Though I never did play it on my 360 cause its just too dam loud.

But seriously, bashing is bashing, and bad is bad.

edit: Also adding, I must say that if you think that ps3 getting games from the 360 is a good thing, its rather stupid. Ps3 is hard to use and to develop for, its completely different from the ps2/360/xbox development. MEANING most of the games being transfered from the 360 are going to be games that have no effort into it. Why would a developer spend $1,000,000 more on moving a video game when they can just do it cheaply? Sadly video game marketing is not about the players, its about the money. No money means no video games, and Microsoft has all the money right now and everyone wants it. The only reason developers put extra add-ons to the 360-ps3 transfer overs is because they want people to buy it.

Also the ps3 lost more exclusives to the 360 than it has good exclusives. Since Microsoft carries all the cash, Rockstar is pratically eating food out of Microsoft's hand. The 360 version of Grand Theft Auto has more add-ons and stuff, ps3 wise has just the normal game itself. I have the ps3 version btw, hit me up with a message if you wanna online.

360 sucks in Japan while PS3 has a decent figure there.
I'll stick with the PS3 since I mostly play Japanese games anyways and don't care much for online for my games.
Plus, I just plain hate microsoft.

The PS3 has nothing on the 360 at the moment for the simple reason that it has nowhere near as many great games as the 360. Bioshock, Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Mass Effect the list goes on and on. I don't understand how people can even think about dropping 600 bucks on a system with barely any good games. Maybe that will change when MGS4 comes out but still thats only one game compared to the other great exclusive titles coming out for the 360 this summer like Fable 2 or Saints Row 2.

Most of my favourite games on Sony console.

I think they're both good. But, since I own PS3 I say PS3 YAAAAAY!
But, I want some of the games that xbox 360 has. >_>;

bioshock and gearos of war is also for PC. lost odyssey has nothing on the final fantasy 13 series. eternal sonata is being ported to the ps3 with more content. mass effect is on its way to the pc, the ps3 is no longer 600 dollars, there has been a 100 dollar price drop for months now. $400 for a 40gb and all those features. fable 2 will eventually come out for the 360. and ps3 has heavenly sword, drakes fortune, ratchet and clank, resistance, and folklore out right now, all grade A titles. i could go on about all the huge titles coming to the ps3, but bah i dont feel like it, rather watch the new episode of candy boy lol

Statistically ps3 is better, especially if you have the original models with perfect ps2 playback. PS3 had kind of a rough start with the price, but if you think about it xbox360 had a comparable price. Cell phones can go from 200-600 bucks, and in terms of launch, xbox360 got RAPED with problems. there were websites bashing 360 before it even came out let alone the constant problems that persisted a year after release. ps3 had a pretty smooth release with very few problems. only advantage 360 has is being released early and therefore more games out, but the sacrifice is all of the functional flaws it has such as freezing up and the red ring.

Not to piss of the wii people, but the wii is gonna get wtf pwned. The style of play is unique and original, but after the novelty dies, people will look for fps and rpgs and when the wii system fails to put out graphics they'll fall. Wii should've invested more on the system graphics and power, and i won't even begin to talk about the cost of a wii compared to the cost of their damn controllers.

i agree the performance wise the PS3 blows the Xbox out of the water but game wise the X-Box is better...atleast so far

i have a feeling that when the Final Fantasy series comes out ppl will start to say X-Box who atleast amonst the otoku fan base...crap ima buy a PS3 just for it lol

Anyways... PS3 might be getting some interesting games this year and the next...or so they say. I currrently don't have any console yet but I am 90% sure I am getting the PS3 MGS4 bundle (if it comes out).
