I saw someone looking for this manga on another forum, and it sounded really interesting. Unfortunately, no one has been able to identify it on the other forum for months. (I hope the original author doesn't mind that I'm advertising here as well...)

I read a manga 15 years ago but I neither understood it, (it was all chinese) nor finished it. Because it was in Chinese I do not have a title either. From memory I can recall the distinct plot tool to the story because it was fresh and new to me at the time.

A young man learns of peeling an apple in front of mirror with a candle during a storm will allow you to meet your future significant other. So like all young men he decides to try this out. As he goes through with it lightning startles him and feels it is stupid as he looks at his own reflection. As he leaves the bathroom with his back turned the reflection changes to that of a young woman. He does not notice and goes to sleep. The next morning he wakes up and goes to the bathroom. He discovers his reflection is no longer himself but the young woman and furthermore the woman can see him and talk to him.

That is about all I remember plot wise but I remember a few interesting scenes that made it really interesting was like when he was driving he sees her in the rear view mirror or when he goes shopping he sees her shopping as well. Even though she is his reflection she is independent in her own actions (what I mean is she can walk away in the mirrored world).
