Arisa Ends In Japan
Natsumi Ando is ending her Arisa shōjo mystery manga in the September issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine on Friday. The story follows a girl named Tsubasa who disguises herself as her twin sister, the seemingly "perfect" Arisa, to uncover the secrets that led to Arisa's suicide attempt.
Ando launched the manga in Nakayoshi in December 2008, and Kodansha published the 10th book volume this past April. Del Rey licensed the manga in North America, and Kodansha USA took over Arisa along with other Del Rey manga titles in 2010. Kodansha USA will publish the ninth volume this October. Arisa has frequently appeared on The New York Times newspaper's best seller lists for manga, and the American Library Association's Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) division named the first volume as one of its "Great Graphic Novels for Teens" last year.

I hope Natusmi's Ando's next work is as good as Arisa's.
