To the person who keeps changing the webtoon cover titles to Korean, please stop. This has been going on for awhile already.

Unless it's a new cover for the series and english platform haven't changed or updated it (or the cover to its book vol) , leave it to the eng covers.
It's ALSO for others to get use to the official names as authors dislike fanscan names.

You're even changing tiny few certain covers to old ones from past seasons.

These are the certains series that have just been changed recently, there's more but these are the ones that just changed back to the Korean covers after I changed them to the english ones

I agree with you, I guess some assume someone already sent in a request and don't do it, there's so many series but I do try request a name change for them.
I already saw few BL manhwa that someone uses fanart for the cover which were done by other webtoonist.

But Most of the series already have their name as the officially licensed name tho

Some certain series have two official names, the English license name and the Korean one which has an English name on it.
Roxana, Daddy I Don't this Marriage and Tyrant Secretary are a few to mention, so I guess some don't request a name change as some are using the English name the Korean publisher and novelist gave it.

Unrelated lurker here. Isn't the policy to use the original language cover or the licensed English cover? The rules don't state a preference for one or another. Taken from the FAQ:

Only original cover scans
Only upload cover images that come from volumes released in the series' original language or from the licensed USA volume releases. This means if the series was originally in Korean, the uploaded cover image needs to be from the Korean volume, not the Japanese one.

Regardless you should contact lambchopsil directly if you believe someone is perpetually updating entries with incorrect/bad info so he can check the logs and address any potential issues. The person responsible might never see this thread.

There is no official policy for which language cover we prefer between the original language vs English

i'm the one changing the covers to korean, and nah, your reason for using the english covers makes no sense. MU is a database website, not a website solely about official translations. it makes no sense that you're whining about official titles when the covers are the official korean ones. what issue would korean authors have with their own og covers? also most titles that get licensed have their main titles chaged to the official one. plus, most of the series on MU have their original language covers, the ones you have been changing because of your whims look out of place, period. let me ask you something, other manga db sites like MAL, anilist, et cetera, do they change the series cover when it gets licensed (hint: no)? and why should the rule be what you say when MU doesnt have an official policy and before YOU started changing the covers people would always use the original language ones? sooooo imo the one in the wrong is you 😉

Agreeing with the op here, though it's not really a rule, I like and think we should use the English covers because authors are and do get really angry when people use the wrong titles, so seeing the covers plus the name on top could help others remember better.

Though it's different scenario it similar to the time someone randomly changed alot of the manhwa titles to wrong Korean romanization

And the sites lea mention are quite different from baka, the ones mention are for anime mostly and op here specifically talking about manhwa not anime or Manga as Korean authors prefer legal titles, it's not similar to manga/manhua or anime

Oh want add:
With LINE Webtoon it's easy to start using the correct title as it's series are free and people adapt to it well while for Tapas, Lezhin and Tappytoon it doesn't since its a full on paying system but only Tapas and Tappytoon have English covers, lezhin doesn't, it's just a cover with no letters

Rather not have English covers be the demanded standard. While I've not seen an instance of an English cover being superior to the original in terms of design, there are numerous instances where licensed covers are lazily thrown together garbage, sometimes not even removing the original text. Don't have to look far to find examples (see: Renta!, most manhua licensors, Kadokawa's simulpub chapter covers). And from what I've witnessed, original language covers have quietly been the userbase preference for some time. English covers here are outliers. If you want a database enforcing licensed covers, check out Anime-Planet.

People setting scanlator titles as main when there's a proper license is a separate issue and shouldn't be happening imo.

I shouldve stated that I'm specifically meant changing the cover to Tapas licensed series. As they have alot of attraction before even being licensed.

I'm talking about MANHWA not manga or manhua. Because like you stated most covers for them are unpleasing.
I'm talking about KOREAN authors. Who are more outspoken to unofficial titles.

English covers don't need be standard.
I just want people get use to the official name of the MANHWA story.

And the best starting point is probably baka as it's easier to maneuver through
