I was hoping someone could help me remember a series that I want to reread (searching through my complete is a pain). It was about these two boys who grew up together, got married, lived with each other, and then the reader sees them grow old together. I believe one of them passes away at an old age? I also think their is a sequel about the son finding his soulmate?

I know that's really vague...it was kind of long and it's one of the only mangas I have read where the mangaka developed the relationship so completely and the reader got to follow them through their life. I'm also pretty sure its classified as Taoi instead of shounen ai.

Possibly! I feel like the one I was thinking of was a big longer than 4 Vol. but I will reread it and see if this is the one I am thinking about.
