Cowboy Bebop Anime - Sub or Dub

Like the name of the poll I am curious what people at MU think is better, the Sub of Cowboy Bebop or the Dub. I haven't seen the anime yet but am planning to do so soon but I noticed that people say that the Dub is better, I usually watch anime subtitled but don't really have anything against Dubs. However before i watch it I would like to make my decision which one to watch. I am going to pick if it is Sub or Dub based on the poll and comments made by the community here at MU. I would like people who have watched both to comment if they have any opinions on the matter and to constructively criticize which is better, instead of something like sub is always better argument or some crap about that watching it in original format is always better. This may also help other people with the same dilemma as I am having at the moment in the future so let us all work towards a noble goal of finding out the ultimate questions that has plagued the humanity for such a long time.....(yea I like to overdramatize things, sue me) whether Cowboy Bebop sub or dub is better!
The Decision copy pasted here for others who are to lazy to go another page so see.
I have decided to watch the dub seeing as more people are in favor of it. However feel free to discuss about Cowboy Bebop sub or dub even if I have decided which, because this seems like something others would like to discuss about.

I thought the voices in the dub were really well done. I didn't like Faye's voice in the original Japanese, but I thought her English voice actress suited her perfectly. That and the western voices fit the whole atmosphere of the show better.
Cowboy Bebop is an amazing anime either way; I'm sure you'll enjoy it regardless of whether it's subbed or dubbed. C:

I've heard that both were fine, just trying to find out which one is better to watch it in top quality 🙂
Only a few animes i really like english dubbed. And this is one of them. Go for the dubbed hands down. As @ms_nobody said it suits the setting very well.

I have also heard the same since it is mostly western culture depicted in Cowboy Bebop, but does the sub faction have something to say about this?

While I despise most dubs, a select few are done well (e.g. Fullmetal Alchemist's English dubs). It's really up to you, although I still say that subs are the way to go.

I agree here ... subs are better but then again everyone has different taste so its up to you to decide in the end 😉

Most english dubs are crap. Crap. Crap.
Cowboy Bebop's dub is amazingly good. Ofcourse there is also the times when the original language just sounds terrible. Like Goku's original voice in DBZ. Frankly, it's terrible. Anyway, I'm getting away from the subject slightly.
I've tried watching Cowboy Bebop subbed, but it just sounds wrong. That's not to say it was bad. Just... wrong. It didn't feel right.
To summarize, watch it dubbed. 😃
And to everyone telling him it's his decision in the end, telling him that is not going to help him decide. Atleast try to put some effort into your reply.

I would have to say the dub is better. I watched cowboy bebop so many times in adult swim, that when I heard the japanese version, it just sounded too weird. Same goes for dragonball.

There are some animes that just have both amazingly good dub or sub.
Cowboy Bebop, GiTS, Black Lagoon are some that comes to mind. You can't go wrong either way.

I actually like original DBZ Goku's (Masako Nozawa) voice. Once you get used to it, her screams are godly, especially the Kamehameha scenes . Vegeta's (Ryo Horikawa) voice is way more better though. 🤣

Well if we are going to be talking about DBZ dub then I loved the dub there 😛 it just sounded right, especially the arrogance and ego that the voice actor managed to give the character 😛 but on topic only the dub side have given any constructive comments. Would be nice to hear what the fans of the sub version have to say.
Cowboy Bebop is one of those few GOOD dubs that exist and I honestly think its one of the even fewer that have a better dub cast than sub cast.

This is one of the few series where I wouldn't blame a person for arguing for the dub. "Mushroom Samba," with all its blaxploitation themes was more enjoyable dubbed for me. I still prefer the series as a whole subtitled/raw though. I am a long time fan of many of the Japanese voice actors in the series.

It always amuses me when people say "Cowboy Bebop is one of the few good dubs" considering the dub was done by the same group (and same people) that have done at least half of the dubs since...like, 2000. And their work is generally the same consistent quality.
And other half are done by the Ocean Group, who are more or less the same.
Makes me think all the Dub haters just watched Pokemon and 4Kids...

Kaitentsuki, you forced me to put this one in my anime wish list! Well, I will be waiting for the final outcome (more like your decession), and then start watching it.
It seems sub isnt even able to be a worthy opponent for the dub. (More like Jake v/s Rai).
