The ending is in no way sad you get your happy ending and don't see many reasons why to be tag as tragedy
maybe because the death of some somewhat important side characters and the way they die (not going in details), the miscarry that the Yuri as from kail child among others and the situation that Yuri finds herself in not able to go to her time

A lot of people die along the way, that's about it. The ending's certainly not tragic
unless you count the fact that she's trapped thousands of years in the past and will never see her family again and be subject to foreign disease and a shortened life span.
Go to work, send your kids to school;
Follow fashion, act normal;
Walk on the pavement, watch T.V.;
Save for retirement, obey the law.
Repeat after me: I am free.

It's not a tragic ending at all. Yuri and Kail eventually got married. Even though the side story mention that Yuri died first and a year later Kail died, their children still lived to rule the empire. Yuri and Kail' s granddaughter later gave up everything to be with Ramses's great grandson (Egypt's 27 th prince). They left the country to a place they can, at last, call home. Overall, I'd say it I was a happy ending.

your reason for this being a "tragedy" made me laugh so hard!! 🤣 Yes, if you put all of that into consideration it really is a tragedy!
