Here’s the article if anyone wants to read it:

https://www.aol.com/lifestyle/red-white-royal-blue-gay-000215255.html

There is a new movie on Amazon prime called “Red, white and royal blue” that deals with the son of the US president falling for a British prince, but that’s not what I want to talk about.

As I was looking up the movie I stumbled upon a yahoo article titled “'Red, White & Royal Blue' gay sex scenes have people asking questions. We have answers.”

It’s always been said that yaoi is not a very accurate description of gay lifestyles, but as I was reading this article it dawned to me that some of the things mentioned I already knew about because of my reading yaoi.

I just found it amusing to learn that yaoi has been mildly educational.

Romantic fiction in general is based on reality to some degree. So picking up some real information from reading yaoi isn't surprising. Take information with a grain of salt before applying anything you see.

Note: Do research if you plan to try anything you see in adult media (Novels, Novellas, p*rn, manga/manhua/manhwa). I have met people who tried kinks they saw in adult media that ended with hospital emergency room visits and permanent visible scarring.
