What kind of content warrants a Drama genre tag?

For a long time, I've been wondering what kind of content warrants a Drama genre tag on a series. It's my top liked genre according to MU, but I'm not sure what kind of content it entails ^^;
Most genres are pretty clear-cut, but drama has me puzzled. I looked up the definition and a drama is "a composition in verse or prose intended to portray life or character or to tell a story usually involving conflicts and emotions through action and dialogue," but that's basically every manga. So when should a series be tagged as Drama, and when shouldn't it be?

Manga-update's definition of drama is "A work meant to bring on an emotional response, such as instilling sadness or tension." does that help? or is it still sort of vague/can apply to almost everything? I kind of interpret it as "if it's a tear-jerker, it's drama"

Something that evokes sad emotion probably. Look at something like a manga like Orange, that is a drama through and through because it evokes some sad emotion with its plot. Koe no Katachi is a great drama too because it really deals with humanity and consequences. Hopefully, that can help you with your question 🙂
