Since the RWC is started a week ago, it's still in it's early stages to make this thread valid. who would you like to see lift the Webb Ellis Cup? I know it's not as big as FIFA world Cup but it still deserves some attention. for all UK resedents you can catch the matches on ITV 1 and highlights at the ITV website. i don't know if you can watch the highlits on itv outside the UK. so you'll have to find out.
click here for the opening ceremony the are 4 parts to this video.

Huum...
New Zealand has a good name and they dance well before the match.
This is as far as my Rugby knowledge goes, but it seems alike american football, without the crappy rules and the armor.
Edit:
Every team has a dance?

I don't watch rugby but I play it. My rugby coach is South African so I'm cheering for them. Vandelia! (s/p) I'll cheer for Canada secondarily.

Pretty much only the polynesian teams.
I hope the aussies win, if only to see the allblacks choke again lol.
You can really see the level of gameplay being raised by the smaller nations so far. its great seeing them do well.

"In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people. Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed and blew it out."

Pretty much that quote sums my feelings up lol... Nah actually, I really like the Wallabies chances this World Cup, they've been on a high recently, and they probably have one of the two or three players to watch, in Quade Cooper imo. My cousin's wife is originally from Melbourne, which makes it easier to root for the Aussies. But yeah, it'll be epic to see the All Blacks choke it up again, this time on home soil...
I hope that teams like France and Wales can make a serious challenge for the Cup this time around.

I didn't even notice Argentina was on.
Just changed my mind, now I'm cheering for any team playing against Argentina.
Pre-game Tango seems a good counter to the Haka, though.

Tonga is a team i can confidently say won't get past the group stages with performances like that. They lost both New Zealand and Canada.
Go New Zealand!!! xD
I'm from NZ itself! It's not just a dance. It's called the 'haka', a traditional Maori war dance to psyche out the opposition. ^^ The All Blacks are the only team who does that.

I fell bad for Japan and mad at New Zealand.
I think results such as 83-7 are a lack of sportsmanship, they didn't need that 76 point margin to show they are better or to get to the next stage. Stomping another team just because you can is ridiculous.
Wales x Samoa was a good game but I felt Samoa deserved the win.

I know how you feel about those kind of blowouts, Klapzi. The thing is that Japan is a fairly weak rugby nation, even though they are regular RWC participants, compared to New Zealand, and sadly, most everybody was expecting the All Blacks to win by such a margin, or we would probably hear that the All Blacks are suddenly in crisis mode by now. I think that the Springboks have more of a case about sportsmanship than the Kiwis imo, after beating their neighbors, Namibia, 87-0 last night, but then again, that was to be expected, unfortunately. There will be more pleasing and exciting matches when the tournament progresses, for sure.
How to guys feel about the drama that's occurring on the England side? I feel that it's overblown somewhat probably because Mike Tindall is married to the Queen's granddaughter. Hopefully, they'll get their act together and pull off a string of proformances we all expect them they can do.
How about them Irish?? 😀
