yea got a zelda plot line that you'd like to share. when i say plot line, new weapons special things unique to the game, and all the other stuff thats in a zelda game.
Also no bashing peoples designs
ill start it off
peaple will talk in this game except for link
the game starts like every other zelda game with link waking up. from thier we do the standered practice, but in this game you learn hand to hand combat and will be as much of the game as your sword the reason why will be said later. after all that its time for the yearly festival. it becomes night you stroll around till you find your sister (link's). you talk but suddenly the village gets raided. your sister is taken (because she fricing kicked the ass of some pig guy but got hit from the behind) and chase her. the enemy party split into 2 one carrying your sister away while the other pushes you toward this temple place their you fight but eventually you lose and fall into this pit. because of the blood that flows out of your body you awaken the gaurdian who helps you out. and this is basically what happens
Gaurdian: do you wish to live you nod
Gaurdian: you have lost a ton of life force but i think i can help he does some magic thing the world kinda swirls around you and is all warpy which takes you to another dimension then it stops and is all black. then this big voice tells you to go forward which you do. with that you meet this girl (think female version of link). she asks you if you were the messenger of death. with this another cutsceane takes place where what happened is explained. which is that her father was the close advisor to the king and she was the head of this elite guard. but this wizard person vatti used his powers on the king and took over. her father was killed for advising the king to not trust vatti then she was poisoned by an assassin and was left to die. with this she pouind her fists on your chest and starts to cry. as her tears hit the floor this wierd energy swirls around and you wake up in a girls body.
to be continued
ill stop here because it would take forever to type the rest but as a spoiler as you progressive you gain the ability to change back and forth from female and form

Alright, time for my promo:
Welcome to Hyrule. The land has been brought to war by the king, and the enemy is at the very gates of Hyrule Castle Town. In a final effort to end the war in his own favor, the king calls one of his assassin bodyguards, the Sheikah. The orders given the young Sheikah are to infiltrate the war camps of each of the non-hylian factions, and defeat their leader, using all his skills in stealth, disguise, and combat. But with each success, the young warrior begins to notice something wrong in the war-torn land of Hyrule. Something dark. Something evil. Something affecting the actions of the king himself. Journey to the highest peaks and deepest lakes, through fiery lava and freezing snow, through scorching desert and ancient forests, and even time itself to uncover what has thrown the land into turmoil, and repair your own errors.

Not a plot, but an idea, at least.
How about a game with the name "The Legend of Zelda" actually being about, oh, I don't know, ZELDA?! If they (Nintendo) can make a game like Super Princess Peach, why not instead make a game about a character that's actually cool? Namely Zelda (in Sheik-mode of course).
More detail? Fine. Let's say the story is the same basic "Ganondorf kidnaps Zelda" crap (for Nintendo's sake, I won't rock the boat too much). He takes her away to some giant castle or maybe an alternate dimension/world, whatever. Shortly thereafter, Zelda, instead of waiting around for some dude in green tights to come and rescue her, decides to take it upon herself to escape. You can have her exploring the different parts of her prison environment, slowly making progress towards freedom, picking up new items/tools, killing off baddies/bosses, and all your other typical Zelda-game stuff.
Gameplay-wise: Give her the two forms Princess/Sheik (kinda like young/old Link, or person/wolf Link, etc) with different skill sets. Princess could be more of a traditional-tool user (Bow & silver arrows, magic, etc) with limited movement mobility while Sheik could be more melee oriented (with some ninja-type tools) and have the ninja-mobility needed for different aspects of the game. Base the puzzles off of needing to switch back and forth in order to move forward, etc.
Bonus: Once she gets close to her final escape, Ganondorf naturally makes his appearance to stop her. Then BAM in busts Link on his way to rescue Zelda, but surprised to see she had no plans of sitting around waiting for him. Then the two team up to finish off Ganondorf (player controls Zelda doing most of the work, Link is just an assisting CPU) and move to the obligatory happy ending.
*Whew~ <°(-_-😉 long post, and probably not going to be read by most people (let alone someone in Nintendo who could actually make it happen). Anyway, just my idea. ( - .-)y-~
*Also, I say "ninja", but that's just because that's what Sheik reminds me of. replace ninja with whatever it is that Sheik is actually supposed to be if I'm wrong.
*Edit one last time to put this in: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/2608-Zero-Punctuation-Zelda-Phantom-Hourglass
This was what reminded me of this thread and got me thinking.

I'll rock the boat for you. In LOZ:ALTTP, Zelda spends most of the game safe, out of Ganon's clutches, in a Cathedral. In LOZ 😮 OT, Zelda is kidnapped at the VERY end. Arguably the plotline isn't so much about her getting kidnapped. Actually, Windwaker is far more about your sister getting kidnapped, and in Twilight Princess, Zelda is very much an ancillary character (she doesn't stick out in my mind as having much more than a few cameos, after all).
Just saying, although something happens, that doesn't make it the plot. It's like saying the plot of The Lord of the Rings is that Frodo gets abducted after fighting with a giant spider.

Hmm I dont think I will go into as much detail as you guys did. But here's mine...
Link is a wanderer with a dark alter ego residing in him (Dark Link). He wanders the land fearing that he may bring destruction to the innocent. His reason for coming to Hyrule is the rumors of the powerful Tri-force which he hopes will cure him of his ailment. Upon entering Hyrule he learns that it is at war with Ganondorf leading one side and Zelda leading the other. Throughout the game Link tries to get the Tri-force but to do so he must aid both sides as both factions guard fragments from of the Tri-force.
Here would be the cool new features this idea brings
Faction points- Link and Dark Link can only attack certain targets (Link vs Ganon, Dark Link vs Zelda) If you play one side too long you and gain too much faction then you become KOS (Kill on Sight) to whoever you have least faction with. Meaning to go further in the game you must stay relativley equal to both sides.
Ex) Kill a lot of Ganondorfs forces and his army will attack you even if you are Dark Link and viseversa with Zelda.
Deeper story- You now see how the story unfolds from both the good and bad side.
Alternate endings- In the final battle with you face Ganon and save Hyrule or lose yourself to Dark Link and bring destruction to Hyrule (Canon would be saving Hyrule)
I'm sure there is more that can be done to it, but thats my idea of a Zelda games I'd love to play.

Another you play as Zelda one. The Hero of Time (from Ocarina of Time timeline) or whatever, aka LINK, has been corrupted by Ganon's dark energies after defeating him (kinda like the hero who was corrupted by Diablo in Diablo II). You start out as Zelda as a little girl in your castle (this is one of the weird timeline twists of LoZ where you're like some offspring of the original Zelda that Link rescued, but Link is still the original Link) at Hyrule when Link attacks and kills almost everyone in Hyrule Castle, you only barely escape when a friendly Goron, who was the Goron ambassador from the Death Mountains, saves you and takes you to a small village where you're raised by the villagers. The catch is, the villagers never knew you are princess Zelda, and you yourself were too young at the time to remember any of it. (that's all the exposition, played mostly as tutorial and cutscenes)
Years pass, and young Zelda grows up to become a simple teenage peasant girl named Tetra (throwback to Windwaker). The age you live in is dark, Link has become the despotic ruler of all of Hyrule, subjugating Goron, Zora, and Human alike. Tetra's village was largely untouched by Link's dark forces because of it's size and unimportance, however Tetra's has been having strange and disturbing dreams that she doesnt understand. One day Tetra comes back to the village after some montonous and stupid activity that teaches you more aspects of gameplay, you find the village razed to the ground by Link's elite guard. Tetra barely escapes from the guards and finds that goron that originally saved her life. The goron plays Zelda's Lullaby on some goron instrument (not the silly drums from Majora's mask), and the tune brings back all your memories from the past, aka your dreams. He tells you of your heritage and how you must rescue Hyrule and Link from the clutches of darkness.
Gameplay: I was thinking of a unique system of martial arts combined with nothing but magic attacks. You get certain runes through quests and dungeons throughout the game that do certain magical spells like flying or fire blast or hover or float on water, as well as learning deadly martial arts attacks from various trained martial artists in Hyrule. There's also this rune transmutation device that allows you to plug certain runes in to make them do other functions as well (i.e, rune of fire combined with rune of hover rockets you into the air). Instead of having a shield, you have a dodge counter where you press a certain button as soon as some attacks allows you to dodge the attack (as you get more skilled you can just hold down the button and you have a high % of auto dodging).

That's what you'd expect:
Yea but in reality, Link cannot be cleansed, and when evil Link is severely weakened, good Link breaks through for a few moments and pleads to Zelda to kill him because the evil has grown too deeply into Link. Then through a dramatic, tear jerking cutscene, Zelda completely obliterates Link. The only thing that remains is the triforce of courage which enters Zelda. A few years later you see Zelda and her love interest (which I failed to include in my brief synopsis of hte plot) with a baby that looks strangely like Link. And the last scene you see is the camera zooming in onto the baby in Zelda's arms and you see one hand reaching out of hte baby's bundle to touch Zelda's face. That hand has the triforce of courage on it.
