I’m not looking for the usual “character bullies the one they love” kind of thing, but I would like the theme of bullying to be either a subplot or part of the main one, so long as it’s not dealt with lightly and even comically. I wouldn't mind, for instance, if Guy 1 was being bullied and Guy 2 kind of got in the way, but I’d prefer it if Guy 1 didn't come off as the princess who always needs protection.

The bullying can also be in the form of teasing as in Kanashii Doubutsu. The uke here is constantly being teased by his so-called “friends” (sometimes in a very sexual way even), but the seme is not exactly his saviour either. He just stands in the corner, watching and worrying until he finally snaps. On the other hand, let’s say the seme is part of the gang that bullies the uke but he’s not the most active member when it comes to the actual bulling, as in Akiyama-kun. That’s also an option.

It can be either slice of life or school life, I guess. I really like psychological stuff but if the atmosphere is milder (as in the examples used above) it’s also good. Do you have any suggestion, pretty please? ._.

P.S: I’ve also read Konbini-kun, which more or less fits.

Koi to Wana has bullying elements in the first chapter that and it's not dealt with lightly, but I'm not sure it would be satisfactory.
