hello there ! Sorry to come up but I’ve been searching for days and didn’t find the story.

It may been part of a book of many one shot, I don’t quite remember. It was a shounen ai story where the protagonist was working as an host at night. He encounters an older man who is looking for a way to gain a bit of money to offer a gift to his daughter. They ended up working together and the oldest in unexpectedly good at being an host.
The protagonist end up falling in love with the other, thinking his romance is impossible since the other guy has a daughter.
In the end that’s even him who chooses the gift for her, since the father didn’t know what to take and he is quite popular with girls.
And the daughter doesn’t want of it because she doesn’t want her father to waste money for her.

Or something like that ...
