Google!
Poor google! So used but still hasn't got a thread here! So let's show it a lil' love (or maybe not).
Second option for me, I used Hotbot before using Google, and maybe some Yahoo. 🤣

I use google for almost everything. Except using it for mail. My gmail is only for business. Lol. Yahoo is my default mail.
I search for info & images on google. It's my first option, as well as being my homepage. :3
The maps are also really awesome. And I use their translator as a default.
Thanks to google, I became such an... anime/manga fan. >_>

For searching the web! O_O I picked everything though. XD
And it's my homepage...though google has given me some very scarring moments in the past, but I don't blame google itself, just the cruel people who got me curious enough to go that far. ;___;

For searching the web. I don't need it as my homepage since I've got this convenient function installed into my browser- it has small google frame. All I need is to type whatever I want. No need to actually enter the site XD
Besides searching for stuff... I use it as a shortcut to sites like wiki and spell/word check.
Oh, right, Gmail as well. I think I needed an account... But I'm not sure why (originally)...
I think it might have been a file downloading site that required me having a Gmail account.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
Searching the web, and plan B for info (wiki always first)
Oh, and sorry tsu, changed the title so it'll be easier to search for next time.

It's my dictionary, my spell-checker, my translator, my email & my friend.
Everything. 🙂

I knew this was from you, Tsu, just from the ! at the end of the title.
🤣
I use Google when needed, but not often since I have so many searches built into Firefox.

Google, is not just a search engine...
Google is the god of internet... if you have a question, it will always give you an answer... actually LOTS of them, but you just need to know how to ask.
Google is my fav translator page, my fav search engine, igoogle is my home page and it makes my life easier, a life without google is like a life without milk.
I am a beta tester of Gmail, so I have a LOT of space for my mail and I actually have 3 gmail accounts, one for business, one for spam, and one for my illegal operations, then again I do have an account of hotmail, but is only because I use MSN from time to time.

Despite getting some stick from various sectors of the tech community at times, Google have, more often than not, struck me as a somewhat cool company (at least cooler than Microshaft, Yahoo and Apple)
That aside.... yes, I use google search quite often, have a couple of gmail accounts, and often receive invites to various stuff. They treat me rather well, sending me free stuff (like mice, mugs, wall clocks) and often give me preview builds of projects in their alpha stages.... they also have a rather vast open source repository with some pretty nifty apps for Linux/BSD users like myself.
Do I worship Google?... fuck no!!..... but if they were real people and I had to choose between a nerdy quartet consisting of Mr. Google, Mr. Microsoft, Mr. Apple and Mr. Yahoo as a buddy for a drinking session at a local pub, I'd choose Mr. Google every time (cos Mr. Microshaft would try to stab me with a broken bottle when I'm not looking,... Mr. Apple would probably try to butt-hump me despite me telling him that I don't swing that way,... and Mr. Yahoo would probably pass-out after a couple of pints).
Point & Squirt
Google's my homepage.
I pretty much use it for everything, because I have my email with them as well. igoogle has got pretty much every useful thing I need on it as well.
It's so convient having it as your homepage. I can open a fresh new tab and start searching instantly.
Also, no ads popping out at you! My god, ask and yahoo are terrible 🤣 Maybe not so much yahoo, but ask was a nightmare on my pc.
