Since you don't look especially to manga only, i can suggest some kdrama bigrazz

City Hall is a pretty good drama (20 episodes, 1h each)

Yi San or Dong Yi if you search an historical politic (i think Yi San is better in politic and history but Dong Yi have a better romantic plot i think. but both have a similar plot and take place in the same era, Yi San is the great grandchild of Dong Yi) (77 episodes for Yi San and 60 for Dong Yi, 1h each)

There is always Goong or My Princess but i think it's more for comedy than really politic.

and for anime : +1 for Crest/Banner of the stars (Seikai no Monshou/Senki, 4 seasons)
or juuni Kokki

No, I'm looking for something more dramatic and by the looks of it it's more into comedy than what I'm looking for right now. Thanks though!

I'll check the dramas out, thanks!

Actually Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen isn't about an arranged marriage [unless you count them arranging it themselves]. They wanted to end the war and so they FAKE getting engaged, they have to pretend to like each other in public, but in real life she hates him [He likes her]. The story follows them as she starts to realize he's not as bad as she first thought and all the political backdoor dealing and assassination attempts that happen because of them.

Slightly different... There were rather funny parts, but mostly it's a good story.

Not saying you have to change your mind, but I have thing about people not reading a story because they think it's something it's not.

Alright, I apologize if I gave the wrong summary. >.< But I have read the series (though I guess I've forgotten what it was about lol) but it's not really my type. It's actually a shoujo that I dislike...

Four Daughters of Armian seems interesting, I'll definitely check it out!
I'm scared about trying Princess since it's on a hiatus, but I'll definitely check it out if it ever gets back from its hiatus. Thanks!

Dokuhime
Seconded Princess
Highly recommend Basara, best romance + politics themed manga, ever.
Threads of time
Historie (romance as a subplot?)
1001 nights
Godchild
Merupuri

Actually Goong is very dramatic, maybe a little TOO dramatic. At least try to first few chapters...

Calling Goong dramatic is like saying the ocean is a bit damp. It's really awful, btw. ;p

Perhaps you'll like Ryou. It's historical romance based on true Japanese history but with some plot twists. The main character is involved in political revolution.

aw i love Goong but i dont think is what the person is looking for. Is more romance and angst between the characters than that sense of realism around them that politics gives off, right ? XD

oh and did you try the
Politics category?
