It’s easy for straight harem manga to show that horny male MC has “his” harem and he’s sticking it in. Unless maybe femdom or he’s a femboy. If he’s isekai-ed to an all-girl world or goes to an all-girl school, then “lucky him” and he has all the girls to himself. The physical (male/female) differences make their “roles” immediately obvious.

Yaoi doesn’t really have the same “obvious seme and obvious uke” distinction besides age/size difference. MC surround by naked guys doesn’t automatically mean he’s seme. He could be the uke of “his” harem. If a seme is isekai-ed to an all-guy world, it doesn’t mean that his “options” are like the straight guy in an all-girl world. The all-guy world could be all/mainly semes too.

I’m looking for yaoi that has clear seme/uke physical differences that aren’t age/size difference. Omegeverse kinda has a “seme=male / uke=female” concept, but the physical differences aren’t that different. What kind of cover makes it obvious that MC is seme and doing his uke harem?

I have some possible ideas:

Black-haired seme isekai-ed to an all-uke world where everyone has blond/light hair.

Seme human isekai-ed to an all-uke world of catboys.

Dogboy in a world of catboys.

Spiky-haired MC has a harem of guys with down hair.

Yankee with wild hair and piercings surrounded by innocent-looking guys.

Any suggestions?

In any case - I don't like scenarios where the seme has dark hair and a beard, and wears combat boots, while the uke is blonde, looks physically weaker, wears earrings, eyeliner, and floaty clothes... there are so many other options!

I don't really read harem stuff so I can't give you real examples. But if you think about the harem series you've read and consider the stereotypes prevalent in those series, you'll have a frame of reference of what you might want to avoid.

However, if you have 1 dominant ML who is the seme, I actually can't see why you'd need to provide visual "uke identifiers" to the other characters. With the storylines you're thinking of, they'd all be (potential) ukes.

I really like MCs that are obviously the super horny guy who wants to get laid and bang his gender of preference. Especially younger/smaller top. I read a hentai manga where a prince wants to become a knight, so he joins a group of lady knights to get (combat) experience. On the cover, he’s in the middle of three older girls and he has a boner in his pants and ahegao face.

For hentai (unless femdom or femboy) the horny MC is kinda by default the one sticking it in the girls. Even if the girls are older/bigger. He’s the guy, so he’s automatically topping.

That’s not as easy with yaoi. If there’s age/size difference (asd) for seme/uke, the seme is older/bigger by default. Or the uke’s art style is chibi and girly. With Naruto and Sakura, nothing needs to change for Naruto obviously banging Sakura. Naruto and Sasuke needs asd to make it obvious. Or if Naruto and Kakashi, Kakashi is “automatically” the seme because he’s older/bigger.

I think minor physical differences can easily have the same “obvious seme and obvious uke” dynamic without asd like in hentai. Seme as a butler and ukes as maids work too, but stops working once they’re naked. If all ukes have rabbit ears, that makes it obvious MC is seme and the rabbit boys are his uke harem. Even if some rabbit boys are older/bigger than MC, MC is still the seme just like a hentai MC is still doing older/bigger girls.

Like in the prince hentai cover, pretty much regardless of asd, the MC is the top solely because he’s the one guy. I want the yaoi version of that. With something like rabbit ears, regardless of asd, the MC is the seme solely because he’s the one guy without uke rabbit ears.

For me, a minor change like rabbit ears slightly feminizes the ukes, so it’s more like a guy=seme/girl=uke dynamic.
