Hello.

From what I noticed the 'new chapter' notification system on the lists is based on a chapter's number.
The problem starts, when the series is not really going by the chapter count. For example King of Hell.

There wouldn't really be a problem with counting the chapters, I even did that some time ago, but in "Tokyopop"'s volume 10, 5th chapter had an anniversary cover due to celebration of the 100th chapter.
Unfortunately by the TP's count it was just 89th chapter...
Going further, last chapter of 21st volume was a 'special story to mark 200th chapter', but again, it was just 175th chapter, AND it was a special, so it wouldn't be counted as a normal chapter here.
I just picked up scanlating further chapters of KoH, and I'm forced to stick to the '[volume]+[Xth chapter of the volume]' format.
Unfortunately nobody will see that there is a new chapter, just by looking on their list. That's because they'll always see 'c11' as the newest chapter.. And last time there was 11 chapters was in 8th volume.

Anyways, my point is - change the system so it'll also consider the volume count. King of Hell is surely not the only series encountering such an problem.

I wanted more of a break down like:

Vol 1: Ch 1-9
Vol 2: Ch 10-17
etc

And these chapters need to match the scanlations, not Tokyopop's numbering (unless they're the same)

I started the very first scanlations, anything before was scans (maybe a bit edited/cleaned) of Tokyopop's release.

You said the numbering needs to match scanlations, but there were no scanlations before.
And the whole point to this thread was to NOT add the chapters of the volumes to try and come up with the current chapter's number.
Tokyopop's 89th chapter had a cover of 'celebration of the 100th chapter', and the bonus chapter in volume 21, right after Tokyopop's 174th chapter was 'a special story to mark 200th chapter'.
IDK if it's Tokyopop merging some of the chapters, or Koreans making 2-part chapters in the magazine and then counting them as whole chapters in the volumes, but those numbers just don't add up.
I started from volume 23, so there was another volume after the '200th chapter'. which is why I can't be sure whether I should count just 3 chapters (+ bonus), after that or more.
That's why chapter 1 of vol 23 should be 'newer' on the list than 10th of volume 8...

If you don't add volume number to the release, it the 'notification' should rely solely on the chapter's count, but if there is a volume number attached, it should first compare the volumes, then the chapters. It wouldn't change anything for releases without vol number or releases with current vol+ch number(the format you aim for), but it should fix the problem for releases such as mentioned above.
