I agree with all abad0n's choices.

In a topic like this, you have to go for shounen manga.

Lee vs Gaara and Shikamaru vs Temari were just 2 fights that made me like Naruto. That's how good those were. They had the power to make my inner child roar.
And I still think that Naruto has the most interesting battles compared to other series. In Bleach it's just dull sword-fighting; in One Piece the fights are heavily overshadowed by the excellent storytelling.

Shonen wise i guess Naruto is an obvious choice, but it really is hard to decide since shonen manga are just filled with fights.
Oh Great does fun fights as mentioned.

I think its sad that besides GUNNM nobody mentioned anything non Shonen.
Panzerkunst is the classiest way to kill your enemy since the five point palm heart exploding technique ( i hope i got it right )

EDEN is full of great fights. Nothing makes a fight better than having a cyborg extend his arm with a double jointed switchblade to take out somebodys eye or brain or the whole head. 😀

But since a single best fight was asked for i take the Motorcycle gang battle in the beginning of Akira where all the gangs unite against the Clowns and Tetsuo. Thats evil, just plain old evil nasty stuff.

I actually think that what goes on in Hikaru no Go would constitute a good fight - hell, i would get excited every time a big match was up.

I think my favorite fight evar has to be when Gon fights Hisoka in the tower in HXH when he punches him in the face and is finally accepted as being 'suitable prey'. That series has lots of great fights.

My fav Naruto fight is hard to say...probably against Haku since that had the most emotional impact on me.

Bleach - Ichigo vs. Renji in soul society.

Gantz - more like a slaughter as opposed to actual 'fights', dontcha think?

And, most recently in manga - Tyki vs Allen.

My newest fav anime fight - Sunako-chan vs. host club bouncer dudes - complete with Nazi uniform, chainsaw, and throwing the "heavenly creature" over her shoulder for a quick getaway. LOL

I have alot of favorite fights but most of them are from: One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, JoJo's Bizarre adventure, Flame of recca, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, Berserk, Gantz (even though it's more so of people getting slaughtered)

can't thing of anymore but I agree that the games in Hikaru no Go looked like fights. The same with a lot of sports mangas that, even though don't involve beating/killing each other, have some great "fights".

I honestly thought the sasuke vs. naruto fight was one of the best anime fights for the series. The manga version (which I read first since it came out first haha) was very dull and boring.
