I've been wanting to read this series but I saw the rushed ending/axed warning, so I was just wondering (without any spoilers, please!!) does the series have a concluding ending, or is the last chapter a total cliff hanger? 😕

No, the ending is completely inconclusive. It's like the managaka fully expected to be given a 5th volume, and was only told that wouldn't the case after she finished the 20th chapter. The story just stops, at imo the most crucial turning point in the plot. Quite the disappointment, because the concept was pretty original; though admittedly the storytelling was all over the place.
