Correct. It got ripped, not scanlated. These don´t count, they are pure theft.
A lock-down of that box wouldn´t be a bad idea...

Yeah, that's exactly what they probably mean in this context, an official, legitimately published English language product "ripped" (either from its physical form or an online/digital one) and then passed off as though it was a fan scanlation like all the rest you'd see wherever you might happen to be reading.

You see it.......not exactly often, but definitely not some kind of isolated thing either......and certainly a lot of the aggregate online reading sites don't seem to mind featuring that sort of thing along with the fan produced scanlations.
