I don't really know, since I'm not dead(yet).

However, I wish for nothingness after death. To be born again, or worse, the concept to go to hell/heaven just make me feel uncomfortable. The second most possible for me is reincarnation, and if it truly happen, I don't even want to reborn as a human again. The best option to me is to be reborn as a plant, preferably a tree in untouched forest.

Well, I chose the option of going to heaven or hell. I think, firstly, people will go to this place called purgatory, not necessarily so called wonderful place like heaven or trashy place like hell (something in between), and would wait for judgement. Then if they're really 100% good while alive, they could go to heaven. If they're good but did bad things as well, they'd just stay in purgatory while repenting on their sins then they'd be sent to heaven. If they're not good/not bad, they'd just stay in purgatory and wait for their chance to come back to the world and do some good deeds until they could be admitted to heaven (or hell, if they're evil OR resurrection once again if nothing had changed). AND lastly, if they're mischievous while they're alive, they'd be sent to hell.

Argh. tl;dr.

dead--purgatory--judgement (heaven, resurrection,or hell)

You're dead.

No brain -> no mind -> no you.

Honestly, it's a whole lot more comforting than thinking of spending eternity anywhere. Anywhere will seem like the worst sort of hell if you stay there long enough, from sheer boredom if nothing else.

i chose things revolve around you cause that would be totally awesome...

a more refined version of this would be that in actuality you are dying every instant in every possible way and your mind is simply transferring to another alternate world until age does ya in :I

SO in the end it's an uber nothingness death is death so be it get on with your life :I

I used the law of energy conservation with the thought that the earth is a closed system (which scientists assume and believe).

For working with general problems regarding thermodynamics, yes the earth will be considered a closed system because the gain/loss of mater is negligible when you apply it to most situations. This does not mean that the earth is truly a closed system by any means. An example of this is the fact the we are constantly losing helium that escapes our atmosphere. In 30 years we will have little to none left unless we can somehow find a way to decay heavier elements to create more.

..."using scientific information inaccurately in an attempt to justify that opinion is inexcusable" it will create an obstacle for imagination that will lead to the delay of humanity's progress.

In what way? Can you give me a example of this ever occurring? I think it would be just the opposite in fact. Using evidence incorrectly will only lead you to an incorrect conclusion, which would delay progress.

What you were doing was denying me my rights to state my opinion instead of stating yours.

I was arguing against your statement, not denying it. If I had wanted to deny it, I would have asked a moderator to delete your post because I didn't agree with it. That would have been denying your right to express your opinion.

...I don't need your apologies since you're apologizing for the wrong thing.

Regarding my apology, the only thing I found that I needed to apologize for was not realizing you would misinterpret my meaning. Nothing else.

Even if it is true, that doesn't answer the question at hand. While there may be many other worlds out there, the one you're living in right now is one with inescapable death. What do you believe will happen to the you in this world after you die?

Well...I don't think of life as the opposite of death, it's merely a continuation of the same thing. Opposites are a human concept. "Opposites" in nature are two halves of a whole so I'd still be alive, just in a different way, I guess. Everything in the universe is made out of atoms, those atoms don't just disappear when we die, they are recycled into dirt, water, air, etc and even other life.

Heck, I'm torn between the idea that there's nothing and that I can get reincarnated (in pieces. Oh, jeez...that sounds like it's painful >.>) So I just think that I cease to exist as a human, but everything that was me becomes something else. That is what I believe happens after I die here. Meanwhile my other self enjoys another birthday party 🙂

^But the body does not equal the soul. What if someone cuts off a finger & throws it somewhere? I mean, that is like saying egg shells are part of chickens. What about hair, nails, etc.? Spirits are non-tangible. They leave or cease to exist after death.

But I don't believe in "souls," mostly due to the popular interpretation of a soul being that only humans possess them. Either everything that lives has a soul, or nothing does. It's my opinion that they don't exist, so they don't "leave" or "cease to exist" after I die.
Thanks for the question, though. I can see how you'd want to ask it. 🙂
