@Makaveli- You need to watch Secret Garden, its from this season still running so the entire drama isn't complete. Watch it on dramacrazy.net. I am seriously living of that drama right now, freakishly good!

I think you could look for Creating Destiny since you seem to enjoy long family drama (smile, you and likable or not)
You could check the previous link everyone posted too, many good drama are named, and almost all of them are comedy/romance.

Actually i've started to watch Snow White and except that the title have nothing to do with the story, it's good and fresh drama (even if it's a bit old). It's not a great drama but the relationship between the four main characters is good, there is no evil character and the second female role is really good (i really like her xD)
And you shold try The Vinyard Man probably the best romantic drama i've seen xD (and since it's starring Yoon Eun Hye, it's not too hard to be good xD)
You can try The Man Who Can't Get Married too, really funny, the romance is a bit slow but... it's hard to find a drama like that, it keep the same pace from the start to end.

For the point of vue, i don't really remember (and generally don't really care... sorry xD), except for snow white, and sorry it's a girl pov... :'(.

ah a good link for your search : Your top 5 romantic/comedy Kdrama

Quote from Joentjuh

KPop -> NO... Just, NO. (don't like showbiz, don't like idols, don't like the 'look at me!' (visual kei) kind of people)
I just don't like (most) Asian 'pop' music... or pop from any other country 😛 . I mostly listen to music that I simply enjoy, country of origin and labels are irrelevant. I tend to avoid music that is overly hyped or made with the clear intention of making money. That said, I'm not all that familiar with the S. Korean music industry. I know Japan is very active in the 'Classic' world, and have allot of music from there, but just can't think of any S. Korean artists.

KDrama -> Definitely yes. In my opinion S. Korea is the current leader in good quality television shows (as in series). Sure, American TV shows generally have allot more action and has a higher tempo, but is seriously lacking in terms of decent story (which I consider more important).
I'm not saying all is bad, S. Korea also has drama that shouldn't have seen the light of day, it's just personal preference often influenced by my mood.
The KDrama I've watched (quite a few) were in general light (as in not depressing) and just the right amount of funny not to become annoying or make the cast look stupid. Even historical drama is very easy to watch for those without proper background knowledge of that era (I'm dutch).

Sorry, I don't want to argue, but your comment has me slightly confused.

You say country of origin and labels aren't important for you when listening to music, then why is it that you are strongly against kpop? If you simply dislike it I understand, but it's clear that a large majority of the people in this world are looking to capitalize on their talents, including the musicians you listen to. They don't try and make music for free. Have you ever read articles about SM Entertainment and their slavery contracts? The idols barely make anything and work under extremely stressing conditions with little rest. I'm not saying this for all idols, but that you should be careful with your words. They love to sing and perform and you can see many earnest and good people in the industry (with some bad, as well). Next to our American industry they're almost angels.

And what is wrong with overly hyped music? Because it isn't obscure you refuse to listen to it?

I'm also confused with your love for kdramas against kpop. They have a clear intention of making money. The dramas fails if they can't afford to pay the actors. They have to advertise to get viewers and they don't do it so they can just spread their love of the drama.

Sorry... I don't usually post comments like these, but yours in particular had me thinking. I'm not trying to take shots at you, I'm just trying to open my mind and understand the reasoning behind your thoughts.

To stay on topic:

Makaveli it's hard to suggest some stuff to you since most of the members have already given a "master list" of the very popular dramas 😛

I can safely second City Hall and Prosecutor Princess though. Both are very good romances that I enjoyed immensely. However, you may find City Hall to be a little slow and may lose interest because its plot surrounds the government. In both dramas it may take time for you to get used to the heroine as well 🙂

I'd say City Hall was funnier for me because of the heroine and Prosecutor Princess is a bit more on the serious side of things.

try sungkyunkwan scandal - its a historical drama with smart heroine. And its really hilarious. I cant stop laughing.

My lovely sam-soon - I love it. but, the heroine is a bit fat so might not be your taste but her acting is so good and her character is so cool. Its a comedy drama

devil - if you like drama with detective and mystery feel

Most of my favourite drama are listed already. You can check out at mysoju website for more choice. There are tons of drama there with synopsis.

K-DRAMA:

Witch Yoo-Hee
My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho

These our favorites of mine. Everyone one says Goong is good but I've only read the manwha (didn't quite like it 🙁 )

Some that came our recently like Dream High or My Princess I might watch.

I plan on watching the movie It's Okay, Daddy's Girl, The Perfect Couple and My Wife Is A Gangster.

I do need suggestions on what to watch next though.

K-POP:

Big Bang! Just started listening to this stuff. Haru Haru is my favorite song at the moment. Beautiful Hangover is all the rage but its not the best.

If you don't like goong manhwa, then don't watch the drama. Coz the drama worse than the manhwa in my opinion.

Why don't you try sungkyunkwan scandal. Its my latest drama that i watched. Its good. same goes for Personal Preference.

Yeah Sungkyunkwan scandal is really good and the historical genre is just the setting (and there is no melo 😛 ). The story and characters are created from nothing 😛 It's seem that due to the popularity, a second season is planned.

Edit : there is a new drama airing since january, dunno if it's good, it's My Princess. Sound a bit cliché and similar to goong in a way, but could be a nice show 😛

already saw That Fool, and yeah it's really good =)
I'll try Calling for Love. I dunno if i ll love it (i tried chinese drama but i really don't like the chinese accent. Dunno for tw...)
i've started Kid Gang (from the manwha wih the same nam) and it's really funny too (but no romance), but haruharu translate it slowly (around 1~2ep/month)
I should try Likable or not too (always feared to start it because of the length...)
