I find a lot of shoujo romances have cheesy and predictable plotlines and characters. It's hard to call those perfect. I don't find it that easy to mix them with real life. I actually think my current and previous relationships and boyfriends are more interesting and attractive.

I do like manga and anime bishies. But those I like are usually not from shoujo romances.

Ouch, comparing manga to this present reality is like... comparing oranges to lemons. They're sort of similar, but not actually.

I don't know how it's possible to believe that characters in shoujo mangas exist in real life. Well, actually I did see something similar to that once when I went out with a bunch of friends, but it was a bit pathetic so I rubbed it off.

Anyways, good luck on lowering those expectations, and congrats on the realization that boys in shoujo =/= boys in real life.

Once you based your expectations on manga you know you're in too deep. Shoujo is madness, the only cure for it, is hentai. It worked for me. 😀 Either that or yaoi. Because even if you set your expectations based on yaoi it'll never happen, you know the characters being gay and all. (Only applies for girls) 😛

I think it depends on the people, i'm a manga freak like so many other here but but that doesn't mean i dont have any social life whatsoever.

In fact, i think i did quite well considering the many hours i spent in front of my computer 😎 you just need to do a lil bit more i guess, i mean like go out, play soccer or somthin. 😎

lol, I do tend to compare them with shoujo guys, but I still know that it's not real..^^
It would be awesome if everyone was as gorgeous as in shoujo manga's, but well, this isn't a manga, it's reality ^^
