I'm looking for something similar to Itazura na Kiss or Lovely Complex. Or Bokura ga Ita (Or School Days minus the creepy... omg that anime freaked me out so much)

An anime with a female protagonist - I keep running into shonen romance animes with male protagonists, and female counterparts that look 12... where they meet, they fall in love and then the it showcases the building of their relationship, first date, first kiss, first time they make love. All the cute little moments. (for example I just finished watching Toradora, I suppose what I'm really looking for is something similar but a bit more of a mature take relationship wise, but my example was their kiss scene, because it was probably the cutest thing ever 😀 )

The thing is I've probably watched all the obvious ones, Marmalade Boy, Kare Kano, I plan to watch Hana Yori Dango when I can actually find it in good quality.

Why don't you try Paradise Kiss? I only read the manga and would recommend it. The anime... dunno, somehow the animation put me off.

You could also try Gokinjo Monogatari anime.

Fav romance story in anime:
Ginban Kaleidoscope.

Other good one:
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (a little sad maybe).

Manga:

Love Roma valid choice if you can bear with the art.
Kodocha but I suppose it's something you already read, btw read the manga, not watch the anime.
