Just as title states, I'm looking for a protagonist who betrays everyone or turns evil.

Examples:
Code Geass
Ga Rei: Zero
Guilty Crown(More of a "dictator" then returns to normal)

From what I remember Cavalier of the Abyss has this. You have to read the prequel first to understand what's going on though and even then, it's confusing for the first several chapters.

You know, the fact that there are few responses makes me think: "Would most manga where the protagonist betrays everyone really be considered a manga about betrayal?"

Since the story is told from the protagonist's POV, that means we won't see the incident as a betrayal, but instead:
- as manipulation (Death Note, for example)
- as being victimized (when a sudden situation forces him to go against his companions)
- as revenge (he was wronged first, and he goes after his former companions)
- or uh... stuff.

Well, I'll throw in Gunka no Balzer and Qualia the Purple in the manipulative category. Gunka no Balzer doesn't have betrayal Yet, but there is an obvious agenda. In Qualia the Purple, the protagonist becomes an obsessive pan-dimensional psycho.

Maybe The Pale Horse.
