so this was the latest yaoi story i've read and it stuck in my head not only because it was beautiful and very twisted but also because unfortunately i couldnt completely get it -__-'' but still it made me very sad, anyways i would appreciate it if some of its readers helped me understand the part i didn't get, pretty please? TwT

the last part where ernst says:"taking my time in the sweetness, dead;in the prison of heat in his arms"
what i got was at the end it meant that albert kept ernst as his prisoner to prevent him from being killed but of course ernst didn't like that so he felt like he was dying.but i read some other people's comments saying that ernst WAS actually literally dying!! is that true??if it was why is he dying?O.O the last scene was albert making love to him wasn't it?how is he dying?

i would appreciate it if someone gave me their perspective and understanding of the last scene.i really liked this story wish there was more to it 🙁

i believe the difference is between physical and spiritual death. Ernst might as well be dead, his heart and soul are dead, but he is not yet physically dead. He also understands that he will ultimately be destroyed like the butterfly for acting even in small ways (like playing the piano) on his desire to be free.
