Whenever I try to draw I notice that I sometimes make somethings alot like something I have seen before or I use the same sort of designe form one of my own. I can't seem to make anything orignal other than plants. I wanna make cool monsters.
any ideas?
note to mangaupdates: plz add a spell check feature. i cant spell for beans.

it happens to me too!! i like writing.. and sometimes i notice that the things that happen in what im writing seem to happen in other movies and dramas and even mangas! and i wrote what i wrote before i saw those movie and dramas and animes and im always like "how the hell do you keep stealing my ideas??!!~!" but when i write more often i happens less.. maybe you should try widening more your imagination or practicing more or pray that a fairy will hold your hand to guide you in your monster creation.. 🤣

What you have to accept is that there is pretty much no origianl ideas with-in art, what makes you original is you. Put it this way thousands of artists have drawn skulls but no two skulls are the same unless the intention is to replicate. Like when you're in an art class where you all have to draw still life and although the person next to you has the same angle as you do they will draw what they see diffrently to you.
I would not worry to much about trying to be origianl unless it is conceptual because you are already original in the way you draw because everyone is different.
