Don't you find it to be ridiculous/hilarious that teens/kids are tried as adults in these situations? They are said to be developed/responsible/intelligent/guilty enough to be considered adults when they commit the crime, but at the same time they aren't/weren't given any rights as adults, they are not considered mature enough or responsible enough to drink, vote, drive, etc. But the moment they commit it a crime, people say that they knew that they were doing, they're adults and all that. Find this fair?

yea, i dont really agree with the way the system works, they feel that they can be tried as adults when they dont have any of the rights (and prolly never will couse i doubt any jury will let them off, no matter the circumstance) of "adults" in the us.
fact of the matter is that i've met alot more teens that are much more mature than adults these days.
but thats way off topic, so yea...

anyway
@Spawnblade
i agree with you too (god, it seems like lately everyone has been saying what i think before i get it into wordssss) child abuse on its own is horrible, and it should be a life ticket.

i just dont see why it is that they would even " Re-enact" something like that with someone as small as a little kid
i mean, i know that they were under the influence of stuff....but wtffff

:-( 🙁

If you checked page one youd see it -_-

I read this article the day it came out some weeks ago. I feel that they shouldnt Get the death penalty like some have said, Because 2 deaths dont equal a life. Instead, they should work twice as hard, and live life, so to speak, for two people.
Ex* You kill someones husband. You should work enough to make the amount fo pay he was making when he died.
Ex2* You kill someones child. You need to go into a program that helps children somehow.

The death sentence should only really be used for mass murderers. When its only 2-3 deaths, or one in this case, Imprisonment and work is the best solution possible.

ya know.. about my prev post.. i don't think equal pain is the answer..

they should die.. if somebody killed me for that stupid reason(MC re-enactment), and i told them to stop, i'd want them dead... and say to them "good to see you here"..

just, it should equal the pain that child gone through... so, those two, get beaten to death and see how they like it..

Screw you guys! You never played wrestle when you were kids? I bet they were just playing around and got carried away.
I was sent to the emergency room because my cousin pile drived me a little too real once and knocked me out after watching wrestlemania. My other cousin is missing 2 teeth because we were playing Rocky and I play punched him right when he moved his head forward and we accidentally connected. I could go on and on about falling off the roof while playing ninjas and throwing knives at each other after watching Big Trouble in Little China. The problem here is that they were playing too rough and someone got hurt because there was no adult supervision. I guarantee no one was trying to kill that girl on purpose. The fact that they are going to jail at all makes me really sad.

Well, technically its their fault for not being truthfully enough. I'm sure they had remorse, but since they didn't tell the cops the truth, instead the girlfriend covered her boyfriend. Cops take honesty and remorse in account before trailing the person as an adult.

Annoying little kids get roughed up by the odler ones when parents aren't around. It's sad that they got carried away and the kid is dead, but I don't think anyone should go to prison, and I certainly don't think anyone should be put to death.

No offense but that is one of the stupidest and most cold hearted statements I've ever read on the internet. Why are you trying to protect two child killers!? When your cousin pile drived you did he keep kicking you, punching you and body slamming you after? I doubt it. You gurantee no one was trying to kill that girl on purpose huh? Here a few things that say otherwise:

1.) Why would they wait 15 minutes before calling anyone? My dad collapsed one time and we had already called for an ambulance by the time he told us he had just tripped an hit his head on the wall.

2.) Why would they be drinking at that age and with a 7 year old child in the house for god's sake!?

3.) Why do the two keep lying? The video said that the police investigated afterwards and have gotten different stories each time.

4.) So you're saying that if someone killed the person closest to you and they claimed it was an accident you would be fine with it? I sure as hell wouldn't. No matter how annoying of a little kid my sister can be, I would NEVER go as far as to hit her until I rupture an organ or something of the sort. I don't think they should be put to death, but those two (even if the girl didn't hit the kid) should rot in prison until they die. I have nothing against you vinceasuma, but that paragraph really peeved me off. My brother does the same thing and we get along well so don't take it personally.

All I can say is "Only in America!" (I don't live in the US)

No, seriously this is a shocking crime to add to the list of stupid "I'll just try this out.." and "(Insert game name) made me do it" ism. Take some personal resposiblity. Judges lock these sad fools up for life.

Now repeat after me "Games do not Kill! Stupid people do!"

First of all...they're not even "kids"! They're 16 and 17 years old, for crying out loud. Do you still play make-believe wrestling at that age? The last time I played it was probably when i was 10, and I did it with pillows and teddy bears. Did YOU still play wresting at that age? When I was 16 I found wrestling stupid and boring already.

I can't believe people want these two teenagers excused because it was an "accident". Sure, I'd agree to that if those kids were 7. But at 16, you should be able to know when to stop. Doesn't they poor little sister, crying in pain, give them a clue that it was too much!? Apparently not, and they still continued with the beating.

Maybe they were high as well, so their senses were dilluted even more than just being drunk?
I wouldnt say what they did was man slaughter....i think it was child cruelty and use of illegal substances.

Perhaps they thought she was just overreacting?

When I wrestle with my little brother, he tends to overreact....

O_o

Whoever says they deserve death is either petty or delusional.
I think you should look at the crimes committed from the last person that received capital punishment and then see how petty you are being.

I agree that stupidity is a sin, but the stupid are destined to kill themselves one way or another. When they kill someone else? Well we have to convict them like everyone else. Thats "Justice" for you, and if you think it's wrong, then what are you going to do to change it?

Here's some more food for thought.
"The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of a mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one." --Wilhelm Stekel
It's a lot harder to live for a cause, then it is to die for a cause.

For those who still don't get it = If you really want to make them "Pay" make them live the rest of their lives atoning for their sins.

I'm sorry but all I could hear in my head while I was reading this article was the narrator from the game yelling

"FINISH HER!"

Hahahahahahaa....

Yes, I have a sick mind =).

But anywho, I think that they deserve punishment.
But 48 years? ._.
That's a lot man.
Maybe a chance at parole at the 20 year mark.
