To all those people getting submitting non-English scanlators as groups, please stop. We are an English website and only accept English scanlation groups. I'm getting tired of rejecting your submissions over and over (and recently there's been more attempts, hence this news post).

The only exception is if you also do English releases. But if I take a quick glance at your submitted website and can't find any English there, I'm just gonna reject your group.

PS: The funny thing is that I hope these non-English scanlators can read English, otherwise this news post serves no purpose to its intended audience.

You might want to post something to Batoto, since non-English groups are active there. Your target audience would be more likely to see your post, and if you ask, maybe they'd even translate your post for you so you'd reach a larger percentage of your audience.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Guides/manuals in their own language.

I see them often on Chinese for everything. Thus I figure it's the same with other languages.

Another example. Some people play Japanese online games and use Japanese p2p without knowing Japanese. How? The same as before guides/manuals. Not everything get translated.

ROFL! XD

I would recommend finding out which which languages are most present in the submissions and ask a few people to write someone a la your post, and post it on together with the rest. If they still don't get it then ban their group. wink

Haha, let's hope they do know english!
I guess if they continue to send submissions you could do what others said, and write them in their own language. I can help with spanish if it's needed smile

You could ask for someone who can translate your English Message to several other languages since this is a website that has several members with second-languages, as for myself I can translate to spanish if you would like to. Just send me a PM.

Polish and cripple-German here.
But the possibility that they don't know English is almost zero here. I guess it's more of a case of not paying attention to the rules and just posting on each and every site, than not understanding English.

Easy solution: Put a note in red in the add a release/group page saying "You MUST be an English scanlation group to be considered" or something like that.

Muchas Gracias

The *really* funny part is that people that understand sufficient English will read your post's title, see "English Scanlators Only", and will think that the post itself is targeted only towards English Scanlators, and subsequently think they don't have to read it.

Yes, changing the name is the best option. Maybe something like "We only accept English releases" or something.
