i find it interesting that there are replies to this topic when the topic starter didn't even ask for anyone's opinion 😕 ...oh well...

1-5 years old - old, 2-stories, wooden house (like, seriously, pieces of thin wood for walls that you can spy the sky through the cracks)

5-10 years old - newly-built, 3-stories, brick house (locating on the same site as the old house [demolished])

10-current - approx. 10 years old, 2-stories, unknown material (locating on a different continent)

now it would be nice if my parents buy a real house (living in a town-house complex), then it'd be official that i move to a different house every 5 years 😀

Hahhaha I didn't even notice. I just assumed it was a "share your experiences on this topic" kinda thing.

well i moved only once, but it was truly a trauma. The house i was born/raised, the urban landscape i was used to, the twilights i could see from my balcony...all gone. Now i feel like im in another house, not MINE, dunno if i make sense for you. Nor i can think there will ever be a house i can truly call and sense mine in the future, apart from my old one. Im saddened by this experience, even if it took place 6 years ago. Meh 😢

man i hate moving I've been to 10 different schools since 1st grade because my parents divorced when i was 5 but i havent move since 10th grade now im a senior but i do missing living with my grandma 😔

I'm going to move to another city next month :/ I've never moved before (okay, I did, but I was 1 year old then and I don't remember it at all) and I'm a bit anxious, especially because I'm going to share a flat with some roommates and the city I'm moving to is very crowded and noisy...

i only moved once in my whole 15 years of existence... it was alright because the house was better.. though i will really miss my totally awesome neighbors. i had this twin playmates, they both cuss a lot, the other one has this huge... i dont know what to call it because its not a mole.. thsi huge black thing in his face... and uhmmm... also my girlfriends and my girlfriend's hot brothers!!! yeah i wil totally miss that... too bad that it always floods in that house.. if not for the floods and the termite we might not have moved,....

I moved a total of 4 times...

I hadn't lived in the same place for over 2-3 years until 2003. So far, I've been in this apartment since then, but I'll probably have to move to a smaller, cheaper, dirtier place.

I moved quite a lot...about 12/13 times I think.All because of my irresponsible father. Damn, I really hate moving because need to change school.When I was 12, we moved to another city but I hate to change school so I travel 2 hours just to get to my school.

Next year we will do our final moving, since my brother just bought a house for us.So, no need to worry about moving anymore starting next year. 😀

I was one of those single parent kids that you see on all those depressing movies about inner city violence.....only alot less depressing and violent haha. I've lived in a 3 different cities & countless apartments and homes. I didn't mind it, making new friends was always kind of a blast. My mom finally got settled down and married and had the correct number of kids like 7 years ago or so (don't quote me on that), but there was literally no room for me in the house. So I just shuffled between family members (including my mom) until I moved out on my own a couple of months ago. Now I have my own place....and it's sweet. Still can't get used to sleeping in a bed though.

I've moved three times in total.
first time i was to young to remember it was from my grandparents house to our own house.
second time was a cross atlantic move to europe to study stayed with a relaive the first year.
Third time to another city a student dorm.

Ahah.....I have both parents but has depressing family situation.There are several reason for our move.

-My father want to change career, so he sold his business try to find other opportunity at other state which didn't turn out quite well.
-My mother got delusional, and my father thought it was because of ghost or spirit which is ridiculous.I was still a kid at that time so, I didn't really know. So, we moved 3 times to to avoid spirit.When I thought about it now. its really stupid. My mother cured after one year when one of father's friend introduce my mother to a psychiatrist.
-The house owner kicked us out because my father didn't pay the rent.
-The rent is too expensive, so we moved looking for cheaper house.

Basically thats the main reason for the move.

I'm not good in making friends in school because I'm shy, so I hate moving.
But now , I already overcome my shyness.

Lol! What is it with mothers and going mental and thinking they see evil spirits. I swear if I hear another "the house demon" is following me story I am going to call for the straightjacket's to put her in a padded room.
