Have seen threads for manga and anime collections, but not about those other things most of us surely did collect once. So go ahead and share! 😀

Only one I remember is old coins, it was mainly only old coins we found around, so it wasn't big and didn't have any worth of mentioning (oldest one we had was one from 1954 🤣 )

I collect Coins.
They are mostly Indian Currency Dating from 1889 to 1993. I have some Pakistani Currency Dating from 1949 to 1970. One or Two Burmese, A few Gold coins from the old British Era (1700s or before I guess), and one or two coins of Nepalese and Burmese origin.

However, it's been two years since I last collected any coin... and maintain them. so, it's all past for me now. I still have the coin collection packed away in some corner of my home. (I live far off in some hostel...) 🙁

My Brother used to collect stamps upto 4 years ago. He has 6 diaries full of stamps from over 40 countries... 😃

(^-^)/ As do I.

Well I don't really collect stamps but my great-grandfather's prized stamp collection was passed down to me. I buy some online to continue on with the collection. And I've been told that if I ever were to give the book away it'd be worth something around a million dollars. O.O Not sure if I should believe it, but either way I won't do it. It's too precious to my family, and it's fun collecting them. ^-^

I'm sure I still collect stuff. I've got bags of coins somewhere.

Does collecting all the seasons of smallville and heroes count as well? 🤣

Well, I do have a few coin folders at home but nothing big. What I really collect (besides books) is souvenir spoons. Since I started collecting them back in first grade, when I lived in Europe, I have a rather large collection from all over the northern hemisphere. My first one was a spoon my grandma sent my mom from Yellowstone (for some reason, she forgot my mom collected souvenir thimbles and thought it was spoons) and my latest addition is from Philadephia. My favorite is probably the one with the mini Eiffel Tower on top from Paris.

I think the only reason why I ever collected anything was because no one ever knew what kind of gifts to buy for me. So when I showed an interest in something, that's what I ended up getting. I figured I might as well keep them, someday they may be worth money.

You remind me of a guy who collected spoons and forks from all the good and average Hotels and Restaurants he ever went to. He has a ton of them, and has tagged each spoon with a chit, which tells where he got it (or pinched it) from...
He still has that collection.

I have an alarmingly large collection of puppets. 😐

And I have a relatively small collection of wooden heads. Like a head of a devil, some skulls, an elephant, other things.

Hah! Yes, I used to collect stuff, and I still collect stuff. (_)

The earliest collection I can remember was cow bones (~3-4 years old); then for a while stuffed animals (plushies, not taxidermies 🤣 ), dolls, little china animals, paperback books...probably a lot I'm forgetting, too.

My current collections, some more active than others, are manga (of course), cross stitch charts & supplies, sewing & quilting & knitting supplies (though I am using these up as well), books & materials for learning Japanese, cooking recipes I've actually tried & want to keep, and baby stuff (in case I get another foster placement). I also tend to pick up miscellaneous stuff that's just cool, even if I have no specific use for it, like the 4-inch cobalt blue glass bowl I got at a thrift store for $0.24. 😃 And of course there's the "collection" of "I'll deal with it later" stuff in the garage... 😔

I've always wanted to, but for some reason just don't like anything that's reasonable to collect, like coins or figurines... so no, I've never.

But later when I live alone I will collect cats 😀

I collect manga (Of course), my schedules (for some reason I like having many schedules, but I don't use any of them), Snapple bottle caps (they have a lot of interesting facts), my report cards (I like to see how my grades were and if I gotten good or something, plus can pinpoint the best subject I'm good at during the year).
I don't remember the other stuff I've collected. .___.;
