Search engine/ search shortcut option in firefox doesn't work after the update. Can that be fixed?

How about now?

Make scanlation group's series sortable, e.g. by series score, series year, etc. (like the results from a search, sortable by various fields)

This has been a bugbear of mine, to not able able to have a scanlation group's series be sortable or searchable.

One possible way may be making scanlation group like a tag that could be searched, so the group's series would like appear like a tag's series list

Question about search. I used to be able to do advanced search, sort by year and also then click a letter. Now if i click a letter, it doesnt show what i have tried to filter out in advanced search.

For example no yuri, then when i try to do the above it gets yuri.

Yes, that wasn't transferred over to the new site as we're most likely going to remove the Letter search.

This manga is on a list named "Shounen Ai Completed". The only way to tell is by the icon though.

Btw I'm using the mobile version of Chrome.

from what i remeber on mobile it was always like this (it was very tiring to choose unuque icon for every list so i can difrenate it on mobile, its hard to have too many of them xD)

Honestly I have no idea about this one. I fixed it though.

This time two "small" sugestions:

A) Filter "Only show manga not on any of my lists" on "Whats New" page

B) Please, new relation types for series:

• "Adapted to" instead of "Spinoff"
• "Main Story" (currently you cant choose it, you need go to mains tory and there use "Side story")
• "Alternate Version - for eg. redraws like one punch man web and manga xD
• "Part of Anthology" or something like that for series'es released under one theme (example "GwangGong Apartment Complex") but doesnt released as one anthology so it cannot be merged
• Someging like "other" for various atypical relations like for example two series based on american novel/game/other but when they doesny have direct relation

search by letter has not all letters available/# for all the other letters like '/space/#/[]/0/1/2/" etc.

also weird that the first 10 or 20 pages are just filled with items that aren't reachable by the letter selector

Hello, this is my first time posting here. I've been using MangaUpdates for a few years and have always appreciated how it provides up-to-date information about manga, manhwa, webtoons, and more.

I recently decided to create a free chatbot that could help others access this information easily. While exploring the possibilities, I tried using the API, but I found it has usage limits. Since I’m more familiar with web development than web scraping, I attempted scraping but quickly encountered similar limitations.

Given these challenges, I decided to put the idea on hold for now. However, I’m posting here to see if there’s any method or approach I might have overlooked that could support the chatbot idea while respecting MangaUpdates' terms of service.

Limits are in place to protect our servers. We do not have any sort of income/money stream so we have limited resources.

We are working on more dedicated authentication methods, such as using oauth2. However, for now, I'm afraid we don't have anything better.

Please let me know if I can do anything to make the experience better.

Hi! I was going to use the API in my chrome extension but i'm afraid it would put too much stress on the servers, even though less than 20 people use my extension lol. Still thinking about it but might dump the idea.
