For those who aren't aware, the first chapter of Kyokai no Rinne is available online at Viz Media, so check it out now!

Anyway, what's your first thought on Rumiko's newest manga so far?

In a way, it similar to another manga that is going on, but I could see that Kyokai no Rinne is vastly different from that manga. Plus, I like the pace of the story to begin with, as well as the cast.

Overall, a great manga so far, and it wouldn't much longer before it comes out to the US this year.

Read it tonight, looks pretty good...hard to tell from just the first chapter, though, so I'll be reading them as they come out. eyes

it has her trademark humor, but for some reason it reminds me of Bleach....either way...i wanna read more...it seems promising and hopefully it wont go as long as Inuyasha...

Probably just because it's got shinigamis, up to chapter 5 so far and it seems interesting enough for me to keep reading for a while.

Although it seems kind of weird to even need scanlations of this series now since Viz has simultaneous releases with Japan.

I gotta say....Im really liking this story, but what im really liking even more is the main female character! People were complaining that she had no personality, but I think she kicks a**! Of the of Takahashi's heroines, Sakura is my fave...shes so....level headed and different from her other heroines i find her fun and refreshing....

I like this manga so far. I think Rine is hilarious with his financial situation and I like Sakura too. I only wonder if they will develop feelings for each other later on in the manga

I actually don't really like this manga, which is crazy, crazy, crazy because I love, love, love Rumiko Takahashi!! But this one just don't do it for me. I guess because I like more serious manga for (1), and this one is more on a comedy side, sort of like Ranma but the action and romance was a good balance to that. And (2) I was hoping for a continuous story, not so much an episodic one, which is stupid because that's how all of Rumiko-sensei's work is, but I could hope! Ha ha

Oh well, maybe I'll try it again later. I'll see how many volumes it goes on for, because Inuyasha is the ONLY 50+ volume mange series I'm going to collect. roll eyes
