This is a question to anyone who has read atleast up to Volume 4 of the english version of Shaman King. Neways I've been reading the scanlation of Shaman King recently n i noticed that some of Yoh's (main character) t-shirts have the marijuana symbol on them so i was wondering if they censored this in the english version?

Oh well, since you haven't gotten a reply, maybe you were able to check out the pages you read and compare at a book store at a library. I have not seen and compared the stuff for myself.

I believe the reason Yoh wears a marijuana leaf on his clothing is because his name means that in Japanese (I read it on a website one time).

Hey...Yoh looks like he's on drugs with those half opened eyes and calm voice.
Besides, it's just a leaf.
Also, you see how he always had that old style head phone on? Maybe that symbol on his shirt actually came from a band in the Sixties or eighties. Musicians and Hippies in those era did drugs.
Famous musician Jimi Hendrix died at the age of 27 of drug over dose.

Actually, the headphones were suppose to be a gift from his dad, and since he doesn't see him very often, it is a nice way for him to feel connected to his father.

I dont know if it's a gift from his dad, but it is supposed to help him listen to some musics .... 🤣
In some parts of the manga, we can see Yoh listen musics (old discs, his favorites is Bob) with it.
The motif on his shirt is a marijuana leaf.
麻 (あさ, asa) : marijuana
倉 (くら, kura) : store, deposit
But the "Asa" came also fom Hao Asakura Mother's Asano Ha (麻ノ葉).
I don't have read the english version, but I have read all the french version, and it's not censored. I don't see why they will censored it.
