As what it seems to be a SONY policy removing features form the PS3 ("it only does every thing .... until SONY takes it away") the company released the firmware update 3.21 that removes the ability to run “Other OS”, namely Linux, on the PS3. So what do you think of this disabling the “Other OS”, and what SONY has been doing removing features, manly in the new consoles models.

Meeeeehhhh.
I don't even see the huge point in have a million features.
It can play games, connect my laptop to my tv, play bluray.... everything else is extra.

All I want is to play games. Multi tasking is just getting to be too much.
I have a cell phone that makes calls
I have a camera to take pictures.
I have a Ipod Video to listen to music
I have a laptop to access the internet and do other computer things.
And I (will) have a ps3 to play games.

I don't understand whats so wrong with that?
Now the backwards compatibility take away... thats messing with the games and I do not appreciate that. 😐

Well, Sony having the motto/slogan "It only does everything." for the PS3 and then taking features away pretty much goes against that. And penalizing people to who don't update because they don't want to lose the feature doesn't help matters much if at all.

Not changing this sig until Square-Enix & Namco-Bandai collaborate to produce a "Tales of..." game (Feb 8, 2008).

ps4 will clean your house, do your laundry and make you coffee.. till son.. eh your mother takes it away

imo consoles should've never been more than gaming stations

doesnt really bother me, I never liked linux anyway.
