This is probably a long shot, but what the heck.

Tsurumoku Dokushin Ryou, by Kubonouchi Eisaku,
is a romantic seinen comedy from the early 90's that recently caught my eye when I got ahold of raws for all 11 volumes. (don't let its age fool you though, it stands the test of time with bravure)
Now, this looks like something I would love to do as a project, but alas, I am not going to get far with just my editing skillz. 😉
The story is about Miyagawa Shota, who just graduated from high school, and left his hometown to work in the famous Tsurumoku Furniture factory outside of Tokyo. In the company dorm, Shota is roomed with Tabatake, the most senior resident of the dorm and the most obnoxious roommate, and Sugimoto, the in-house Casanova. With these two roommates, Shota is constantly caught in awkward situations. Although the manga addresses the issues of making career and love quite seriously, it still succeeds in remaining funny at the same time.
I know this project was (half assedly) done by Yahoo group PRISMS before, but I'd like to start this over properly. The scans I have look pretty good (not as good as they could if I had the books myself, but that's nitpicking), and I've had several years of experience editing for KEFI, Reimu, Mangascreener, and Entropy. All this needs is a good, and willing, translator who isn't afraid to pick up a semi-lengthy seinen manga (11 volumes total). (speed isn't important, but dedication is)
If this even remotely piques anyone's interest, I can upload the first volume of this manga, so you can check it out yourself.
I'd also like to note that I'm not really bound to a particular group, nor is it a necessity that I'm involved in the scanlating process (though I'm really excited about it); so if you're in charge of a group, and want to do this, feel free to contact me for whatever pertaining to this subject.
If you liked these:
- Living Game
- Maison Ikkoku (the archetype for this genre)
- Cherry, Chocolat, Watanabe (same author)
- Dance till Tomorrow (a personal favorite)
You will probably like Tsurumoku Dokushin Ryou. 😉
Okay, that should be it.

Greetings and salutations.
