Quick question about registered novels

(Sorry for posting it here, I didn't know a better place)
What novels are allowed on Baka-Updates? I know it's (probably) the same rules as webtoons, no OELs and all (unless it received a physical publication, that's what I heard) but
Is it only novels that have pictures (light novels)? Somehow I think that would make sense but still wanted to confirm

Novel series entries are only approved if they have release entries on MangaUpdates that are associated with the series
