In show business, the saying goes "Keep them wanting more." I would say most School Rumble fans not only want more, they expect more after that underwhelming ending. What do you expect Z to deliver?

I'm still shipping Harima x Eri, and it would seem that I'm not alone in that. Of course, that'll get dragged out to the very end, so if there is a decisive conclusion, we won't find out for years.

With a title like Z.... I just hope it's got nothing to do with super sayajins or mecha.

I sorta lost interest with School Rumble quite some time ago.... I perservered to the end, and was let down...was expecting a bad ending, but that one was horrid.... Harima became such a loser in the final 50+ chapters.

The best thing they can do with Z is remove Tenma and her retarded Kappa in the beginning..... more Itokou please.... and make Harima get a shave (sorry aho).

Frankly, my expectations are about zero.

It was a good manga for about 10 vol, mainly for its fast pace, but after that it has been a huge filler until the last couple of vol.
And judging by the ending of SR Kobayashi will probably insist again on the stalled situation he recreated with that ending.

this is a comedy not romance. nobody loves each other. ending will be same.

hopefully something happens. the way the previous one ended was really disappointing.

Hmm....more comedic misunderstandings and...a FREAKIN CONCLUSION perhaps?! I expect a real ending this time.

Not really sure what to expect because I wonder what direction is it going to be taken in... other the usual Harima, Eri and Yakamo, wonder what going to happen with some of the other ppl like Hanai and Mikoto.

From what I heard about the first chapter, it looks like SRZ is going to be a big disappointment. It's only the first chapter, so maybe it'll improve afterwards. Hopefully, this would give SR a proper ending. It's going to suck that it is only going to release once a month, so if the first chapter is as bad as I heard, it'll be interesting to see if anyone would keep interest in it long enough to scanlate the second chapter. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that it will in fact give SR a proper ending.

whats the over all story of school rumble? I looked at the first few anime episodes but i got bored fast i didn;t enjoy them much. Does it get better?

Probably Spoiler, so read the manga first or bare the consequences. (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!)

Boy1 loves Curry. Girl1 loves Boy1, can't confess. Boy2 loves Girl1, fails to confess to her/is a little shy, confesses to Girl2 by accident. Girl2 starts to love-hate Boy2. Girl3 is the sister of Girl1, falls (slowly) in love with Boy2. That's about the essence of the relationships of the main-characters.

Aside from the aforementioned, there's not much but a little romance, lot's of jokes and some misunderstandings. Not everyone's cup of tea, as it's more or less a simple style of jokes, nothing too deep.
There's also next to no ecchi in there, fanservice is on a minimum. (At least compared to "ecchi-marked" mangas.)
